Our Verdict
Here is how to get the most value out of this deal:
- Purchase three * $50 eBay giftcards for $135
- Make sure you shop through a portal
- Swagbucks is offering 2x Swagbucks per $1 spent or (+$2.7)
- Topcashback is offering 1.5% cash back (+$2.025)
- Make sure your account is enrolled in eBay bucks (+$2.7 – unsure if this purchase will earn eBay bucks)
- Use a credit card with a good rewards program.
- Discover it is currently offering 5% cash back on enrolled cards for online purchases (+$6.75)
- Other cards can get you at least 2% cash back on all purchases (+$2.7)
You’ll basically be paying $135 and you’ll receive $150 in eBay giftcards and ~$12.15 in cashback. You can then use these eBay giftcards to purchase other giftcards that eBay is selling to make even more profit (here is a recent example of one of these deals).
This post contains referral links to Swagbucks, Topcashback & eBay. I appreciate you using my links where possible:
- Swagbucks: When you join I earn 10% of the swagbucks you earn
- Topcashback: When you join and earn at least $10 in cash back I earn $10. You also currently get a $10 bonus
- eBay: I earn a percentage based on how much you spend. I recommend you use a portal rather than my link so that you get additional cash back.Â
eBay gift cards won’t earn portal cash-back, nor will they earn ebay bucks. However, when you redeem the ebay gc, you WILL earn both portal cash-back and ebay bucks, even when you buy a gc with the ebay gc.
“You didn’t earn eBay Bucks for this item. This $50 eBay Gift Card for only $45 – Email Delivery (10% Off) is in an excluded category and isn’t eligible for eBay Bucks.”
You know what’s awesome? You can use the eBay gift cards to buy additional eBay gift cards from the same seller on a different eBay account. I don’t know how many times you can repeat this but it’s like buying $150 worth of eBay gift codes with the $150 eBay gift codes they provide you. (A profit of $15 each time)
Nevermind. It’s pending verification and the terms have this: The Gift Card may not be used to buy other eBay Gift Cards.
Yeah, I got excited for this at first but it didn’t work.
