The Offer
- Liberty Bank is offering a $100 referral bonus to the person signing up and $50 to the person referring when they complete the following requirements:
- New members must make at least two qualifying direct deposits of $500 or more each within their first 90 days.
- The account must stay open and in good standing through day 120
The Fine Print
- Offer valid for existing Liberty Bay Credit Union (LBCU) members age 18 or older in good standing as of 10/1/2026, and new members age 18 or older with no prior LBCU membership in the last 12 months. New members are not eligible to be a referring member. Personal memberships only; business/trust/estate/non-personal memberships/accounts excluded. To qualify for the $50/$100 referral bonus, the referred member must open a new LBCU checking account using the referring member’s name and, within the first 90 days, receive at least two direct deposits of $500 or more each. Qualifying direct deposits include payroll, pension, or government benefit deposits via ACH. Peer-to-peer transfers (e.g., Venmo, Zelle, PayPal) do not qualify. The account must remain open and in good standing for 120 days.
- The $50 (referring member) and $100 (referred member) bonus will be credited to each member’s primary checking account 150 days after account opening if qualifications are met. Limit of ten (10) qualified referrals per membership, one membership per household, up to a maximum total payout of $500. Referral cap is based on the LBCU membership number. Members with multiple accounts or accounts with multiple owners will not receive multiple bonuses. Bonus payouts are subject to IRS tax reporting (Form 1099-INT or 1099-MISC); recipient is responsible for any applicable taxes. Offer not available for employees and board members of Liberty Bay Credit Union. This promotion is subject to change or withdrawal at any time.
