- Excludes bulk gift cards & e-gift cards, layaway purchases, insurance services, auto services, pharmacy transactions, protection plans, and recurring subscription services (for example, Walmart+ memberships, Beauty Box and Baby Box).
Our Verdict
Walmart savings deals are always popular. This would work on gift card purchases from Walmart or Walmart.com as well. I haven’t yet found this offer on my cards.

E-gift card does not work!
Looks like Walmart not using cashstar any more for their Walmart e-gift cards. But terms say no e-gift cards. Can anyone confirm e-gift cards are working and if they purchased Walmart brand or other brands?

Do gcs work?
I wanted to know this too so I bought a $100 Netflix gift card online yesterday. This morning I got the “You recently used your Amex Offer: Walmart.com” email from Amex. So for retail GCs, yes, it appears to at least trigger it. Credit hasn’t posted yet, but the Walmart charge is still Pending.
