Last year I took several LAX-SFO round trips, $49 each way, to meet the segment requirements. I’d say it’s worth it.

One of the examples in the post – LAX/SFO – is normally 5,000 miles. That’s the base rate for flights under 700 miles.
I like how some of the routes that are part of the “sale” are 12.5k one way. Isn’t that the normal price???
All I wanted was a 1 day trip to any city in Alaska just to say I’ve been. Go to a local pub, have a beer, and return to Seattle. But the site is crawling, no, crawled to a stop. Boo!
