I ordered the free book successfully via Echo show but I do not see a credit from it anywhere.

Looks like this simply takes $5 off e-books purchased via Alexa. You don’t have to first purchase a free e-book to activate it.

For me, it worked without any free e-book purchase. The credit was applied at check-out. The terms don’t ask you to buy an e-book to get the credit. The credit is reflected upon checkout.

Worked great, thanks. Another free one today that works is Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”

You can see the credit on your account by looking up any charged ebook on the website, it’ll show you the price after credits, and you can click in to see the detail of this applying.

Based on MB’s comment, I ordered the with the following command.
“Alexa, I want to buy Melt Steel Brothers Saga Book 4”

It took several tries before Alexa finally understand me though. And also need to enable Voice Purchasing in Alexa app first.

Does free ebook qualify for the promotion?

I can verify that it does. I ordered this book https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HFPDRI4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_d_asin_title_o02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 via my echo show this morning and the credit showed up almost instantly. Enjoy!

The author of that book is going to faint at how much her readership has spiked today.

Even a free purchase isn’t required to trigger the offer. It’s not like you get the credits for your next purchase, you get them for that very purchase.

Yes, you do. The terms are not clear and I wasn’t sure, but after getting the free purchase via Alexa, I can confirm that I see the credit when checking out an additional ebook through the website.

I’m seeing the credit without purchasing a free book first.
