This is a nice discount (though we once saw the 40mm even lower). Deals can be made even better by stacking deals with Amazon.

Red color 40mm S6 went on sale for $250 late April. It was, I think, $279 late last week.
New one coming this fall. I’d skip this sale, maybe wait for another. Or wait until fall if you can.
that $250 was a super quick sale on best buy and amazon IIRC. I don’t remember the $279 but It does makes sense since the other colors were $329 for a long time. (from a couple of weeks before prime day to a couple of weeks after.)

I would wait for the newer one. The series 6 was a very incremental upgrade from the 5

At $314/$349, I would say wait until the Series 7 is released. Then the older models will (likely) be even cheaper. The Series 6 is a great smart watch and (going on rumors and whatnot) the Series 7 will be just an incremental improvement over the Series 6. So (unless you really want one immediately) maybe wait for the Series 7 to be released and pick up the Series 6 then.
If it was $249 (for the Series 6 40mm) like it was a few months ago though, that’s the price I got mine at. Even with the Series 7 two-ish months away, I would buy a Series 6 now at $249 (if I didn’t already had one).
