[Expired] Amazon: Free $10 Credit with Select Alexa Orders, $7.50 Moneymaker [First-Time Alexa Orders Only, Prime Only]

This bonus has now expired. As always keep up to date on all the ways to save on Amazon here.

The Offer

Direct Link (affiliate link)

  • Get a $10 Amazon credit when placing your first Alexa order to buy one of the Alexa-only deals

In order to qualify for the $10 credit offer, you must: (1) be an Amazon Prime member, (2) a new voice shopping customer, and (3) order an Alexa Deal listed on this page.

It’s a small list of items that works to trigger the $10 credit, but there are cheap items like a popcorn mix for just $2.49, making this a $7.51 moneymaker. Say, “Alexa, order Sweet and Cheesy Popcorn” to order that specific item.

The Fine Print

  • The order must be made using voice shopping on your device with Alexa.
  • Offer ends 11:59 p.m. (PT), July 9, 2017 or while supplies last.
  • Offer only applies to an eligible purchase of an Alexa Deal using Alexa Voice Shopping on an Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Amazon Tap, Amazon Fire TV or Fire Tablet.
  • Offer limited to one per customer and account.
  • Offer may not be combined with other offers.
  • The credit will be applied to your Amazon account within three (3) days of the qualifying purchase. You will receive an email from Amazon confirming that a $10 credit has been applied to your Amazon account. The email will be sent to the account associated with the qualifying purchase. After you receive this email, the $10 credit will appear in your shopping cart the next time you check out with an eligible item.
  • The maximum benefit you may receive from this offer is one $10 credit.
  • Credit expires at 11:59 p.m. (PT) July 1, 2018.
  • Credit only applies to products sold by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC (look for “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC” on the product detail page). Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if “fulfilled by Amazon.com” or “Prime Eligible.”
  • Credit does not apply to digital content or to orders placed through voice shopping using Alexa. Credit may not be redeemed for Amazon Gift Cards.

Our Verdict

At the minimum it’s an easy $7.51 moneymaker; hopefully, you’ll find an item you can actually use and it’ll be worth more.

We’ve written before how it’s possible to use Dash Wand to get Alexa deals as well, and I’d guess this $10 credit deal will work for first-time Dash Wand customers. There’s currently a deal to get Dash Wand practically free (back in stock now), and there are probably people ordering now for the first time. Let us know if it works.

DP: Worked with Dash Wand.

Order date: Thursday, Jul 6th

Didn’t receive any email about $10 Credit so I chatted with the CSR and she confirmed that Credit has been added to the account.

I added a large value item sold by Amazon to my cart and tried to check out. Found the $10 Amazon credit on the payment page.

Did anyone get their $10 credit yet? I ordered back on Weds, and nothing yet. Surprised it is taking them a FULL three days to apply the credit.

I just placed my order and feels like I missed something
tem(s) Subtotal: $4.99
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Alexa: -$2.50
Dash Wand Promotion: -$2.49
Total before tax: $0.00
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.00
Grand Total: $0.00

Checked my gift balance and there isn’t any charge… Was I supposed to get some good amount off first order???

It appears to be the $20 off first order…

Dash wand is $20 off the first order, maybe that’s why?

Anybody else get this to work on the wand? I ordered the cheesy popcorn and Alex said it was $2.49, but then charged me $4.99 on checkout.

You have to enable voice purchasing in the Alexa app.

Thanks Doc! Yesterday I sold my T Mobile papa johns for $2 amazon gift card. So I got cheesy popcorn for 59 cents! That made this a $9.41 money maker for me. LOL. Well if it works with the wand….

Will this work on Dash Wand? Terms do not list the wand as a device that lets it work, but assuming it still will.

Also do we know/have an idea if this will work for Amazon Household accounts (shared benefits from primary account)?

Thanks

I placed the first order today for the different product not listed in promo link. I have checked with Chat support and they confirmed that this offer works for ship and sold by amazon products. credit will take 24 to 48 hours to reflect in our account.

I have to wait and see the credit, otherwise need to contact support again for the credit.

and this is the for the first time who uses Alexa to order.

let me wait and watch for the credit and update the status here.

Placed a number of orders using Alexa, and curious if this offer will still work for me. Can anyone confirm whether it actually needs to be your first order using Alexa?
