American Express Gold 35,000 Points + 20% Credit On Restaurant Spend (Max $250)

There is a bigger 60,000 point offer found here.

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • American Express is offering a sign up bonus on the Gold card as follows:
    • Get 35,000 points signup bonus when spending $4,000 within 3 months.
    • Get 20% back as a statement credit when you make a purchase at restaurants worldwide within the first 12 months of Card Membership, up to $250 back.

This offer is showing on the Resy website (restaurant reservation app), but the 20% credit is showing for any restaurant spend, unrelated to using Resy.

Card Details

Our Verdict

Standard high bonus on this card has been 50,000 points after $4,000 in spend. Essentially, you are giving up 15,000 in points to get the 20% restaurant credit/$250 instead. (We have seen 50,000 + $100 in the past, as well as a targeted 70,000 offer too.)

Some will prefer the regular 50k offer and others will like this 35k+$250 better. Worth noting that the 50,000 offer is available via referral links – if you’re in 2-player mode, you’ll do better with the standard 50k offer + bonus for referrer instead of this offer.

In any case, it’s interesting to see this new 2-prong offer on the Gold. There’s a similar offer on the Platinum card as well. If you’re thinking of applying, make sure you read these things everybody should know about American Express cards first.

William Charles  Chuck I’m seeing this via referral in incognito. Not sure if it’s a new offer or has been offered before.

So i have a 60 K offer —would love to get a referral for 75K— None of my friends participate in this hobby—-I completely understand why referral links are banned in the comments—but would love to support this site’s people—how do I get a referral without breaking your rules?

If you’re still looking for 75K, you can try my personal link in Incognito. Follow the link by click on “i” and you should be able to find it 🙂

I’m seeing 75K incognito offer through referral requiring 4k spend in 6 months. My personal offer on AMEX had 5K spend in 3 months for the same 75K.

I see the incognito 75k offer. I assume this one doesn’t have the $250 dining credit as the Ressy offer, corretct? So it’s either 60k+$250 dining credits vs $75k?

This offer has been bumped to 60k + the other stuff. That’s what I see on Resy and the Amex site.

DP: able to pull a 75k gold for 4k spend offer on amex prequals. incognito, VPN, name/address errors.

no luck on the plat, but able to pull a 75k on that.

seems amex is making a push for card signups with all these elevated offers.

Did you check for pre-approved offers or was it just on the main page?

Was the “Premier Rewards Gold” considered the same card? I recall having one of those.
