American Express Platinum: Unused Uber Credits From November Being Rolled Over

If you didn’t use your American Express Platinum Uber credit from November, then it’s being rolled over and can be used in December as well. This is because the way the benefit is handled has changed and it now shows up under Uber Cash. This means you’ll have a total of $50 in credit to use this month (you get $35 in credit for December normally). This is a nice gesture, but should have also been done for October credits considering the change was made in late October and a lot of people weren’t able to use their credits because of this. Update: Apparently they did do it for October as well.

I’m confused my uber just updated and finally got uber cash. But they roll both my non expired credit plus Amex credit into uber cash. Will my uber cash expire at the end of the month?

My Uber app is showing my December credits as “Uber Cash” instead of the normal promo credits. Does this mean they might carry over into next month?

How does Uber eats work exactly? Can use the Amex credit for “free” food delivered to your house?

I was looking at an investopedia article about Uber cash and it said “Uber Cash users will also be able to purchase gift cards…” Can anyone verify if you can use Uber cash for gift cards? It would be nice to be able to buy gift cards with my credit and then be able to apply the gift card whenever I want.

I’m sure folks like me would be really happy to roll this over. I could easily use $200 in Uber annually when I travel to another city. Could be more expensive than renting a car but hey, no parking charges/hassles and no worries after a crazy party.
While at home, I’m sure its never getting used on a monthly basis. Also, the $15 credit in a given month doesn’t empower me to bypass a rental car either.

Just got my platinum at the end of Novemberwith 100,000 offer and I only had 2 days to use the credit and totally forgot about it, the credit did in fact disappear from my Uber account. So I called Amex and they gave me $15 statement credit no questions asked since I just got the card 2 days before, then I just looked in Uber account and November credit was rolled over so I was able to double dip by getting $15 statement credit plus the rolled over $15 Uber credit into my account (YMMV) Membership has its privileges!

My $35 credits still shows as Amex Premium credits under Credits. It didn’t come as cash.

A little off topic here, but my father has used $0 of his Platinum air credit this year. His selected airline is United and he won’t be travelling anymore this year. Anyone have any suggestions on how to use the credit?

Anyone know how to activate the Uber Cash feature on the app? It doesn’t show under my payments menu. I have a message sent to Uber support but know answer just yet from them.
