It’s now possible to redeem your American Express Membership Rewards points at Rite Aid. When cardholderers swipe their American Express cards they will be shown their current point balance and the amount of points needed for a purchase, they can then select ‘use points’ to use their points towards this purchase.
If a user has a Plenti account they can use Plenti points to pay before using their Membership Rewards points. I assume that points will be worth 0.7¢ per point as they are with their other partners:
I value points at a lot more than 0.7¢ per point and I suspect pretty much everybody else does as well so I’d avoid redeeming your points at Rite Aid. You’d be better off transferring your Membership Rewards points to Plenti and getting 1¢ per point (or 1.5¢ per point with the current transfer bonus).
