[Expired] Amex Offers: Rover Pet Services $20 or 2,000 Back with $75 Spend

Deal has expired and is no longer available, view more Rover deals here.

The Offer

Check your Amex Offers for a new Rover offer:

  • Get $20 back with $75+ spend at rover.com
  • Get 2,000 Membership Rewards points with $75+ spend at rover.com

The Fine Print

  • $75 can be spent in a single transaction or across multiple transactions.
  • Valid through August 16, 2018.
  • Offer valid online only for Dog Boarding, House Sitting, Drop-In Visits, Doggy Day Care, and Dog Walking services.
  • Excludes Rover Store or Rover Goods purchases made at https://store.rover.com and all services in Canada.
  • Not valid for e-gift card purchases.
  • Valid only on purchases made in US dollars.

Our Verdict

Some people use Rover a lot and this should be useful. Doesn’t look like there’s any way to lock the discount in for the future since the terms exclude gift card purchases.

Thank you Chuck. Got it on all 10 cards between me and spouse and will do some advanced bookings.
By the way most sitters (including mine) take $35 a day, So if you do a two day booking it will be $70 plus a $4.90 Rover fee for a total of $74.90. Yikes. The value of 10 cents.

How much cut does Rover take?
If they take 15% (my guess) one could create two accounts, pay $75 from one to the other for an imaginary dog walk, Rover would take $15 and one would still come out ahead… especially if they have 2k MR offer instead.
Would this work?

You can do even better. If your dog is sick or needs something medical. You could do a rover booking with your friend and then file she got hurt there and claim Rover insurance.
But its illegal just like claiming $27 from Targets flushable wipes lawsuit. Lol.
