I was a previous apple music subscriber but canceled a few months ago. The code did work for me for 3 months free.

I don’t currently have AppleMusic, but I had a previous subscription. It worked for me for 3 free months.

Same. Seems to work on lapsed subscriptions but not on current.

Came looking for that info. Thanks.

The Best Buy link does not say anything about existing users. Have any current users been able to successfully use this for a 3 month extension *without* canceling your existing account?

Current subscriber, said I cannot redeem the code with my current subscription.

current user, didn’t work for 3M for me….

I don’t see anything in the link about it being valid for current subscribers

Watch someone take advantage of this deal (creating multiple accounts) and ruin it for everyone else.

I’m pretty sure it’s all tied to your Apple ID. And you can only use one Apple ID per device. It would really show Apple if you went out and bought multiple iPhones just to get 6 months free Apple Music on each!

I think L meant multiple BB accounts

Worked for me, current AM subscriber.

For people having trouble: I think I’ve gotten these to work in the past sometimes by cancelling my subscription, waiting for the remaining month to end, then using the code once my subscription has lapsed.

If you canceled your subscription to get it to work, you are not a current subscriber…you’d be a previous/former subscriber.

It indicated it would work for three months for an existing user but when inputting the code it defaulted to the message “for new users only.” Sigh …

I haven’t even redeemed the previous Best Buy code yet, which expires next year.
