Our Verdict
Normal offers are $50 off $150+ or $35 off $70. This is a slightly smaller discount than the $50 deal, but obviously only the $40 spending requirement. It’s just better in all aspects to the $35 deal. Probably only useful if you’d struggle to hit the $150 minimum normally. Keep in mind Target will have Target deal days as well starting tomorrow.
Signed up 24th, had to do trial deposits for WF after a couple days, then i was approved. The swagbucks did not post, had to battle with them but did get the $4. The coupon Did Not arrive in the mail when the card did. Called them yesterday and they said they will email it and will take an additional week. Kinda a pain so far for this, was hoping to use it for the back to school sale…
I will probably cancel in a few months and do another later down the road.

Just an FYI. I was able to use the coupon in self checkout and then online once more. This probably works on the other different value coupons as well.
I tried to use the coupon on an online order. Everything appeared fine, but 11 minutes after I got the order confirmation email, I got an email that the order had been cancelled due to a payment issue. Called target.com, which transferred me to Red Card. After a couple of lengthy holds, I was informed that the system would allow the coupon to be used for orders of $100 or more. So they are sending another $40 off $40 coupon. That’s coming by snail mail, which will take 7-10 days. Oh, and they are *letting* me use the $40 off $100 code. I just tried it on a $100 dummy order. To my great nonsurprise, it didn’t work.
Applied for the Debit Card. Received a letter today informing me that I was declined with the main reason being, “The checking account information provided does not allow for electronic processing of payments.” I signed up using my chase personal checking account. I would like to know what accounts others used and were approved.
I wonder if anyone got approved with chase. I got approved with BOA.
Finally called and turns out I transposed my account and routing number. Will have to reapply now with the current deal $40 off $100. Bitter Sweet
It’s been a week and still no response from target. Anyone who got 7-10 days heard anything back?
Nope.
I got a “Technical Difficulties” message when applying for the debit card and message stating that I’d receive a response in the mail within two weeks. Also applied for the credit card for my wife, but the browser timed out after submitting the application…. No emails so far for either application
I also got the same technical difficulties message while applying for the debit card.
I called Target over the weekend and they said their system had issues verifying bank accounts and to reapply on Monday (today). Reapplied this morning for the debit card and was approved
is the coupon typically delivered same day?
It’s a physical coupon mailed together with the debit card, arrives a couple weeks after approval.
I’m very tempted to get the debit card–I’m filling out my credit card spread at the moment, and plan on applying for the CSR in January 2021, so the credit card is currently a no-go for me. I wonder if it’s possible to have both the debit and credit card a few years down the road, or if you’re just stuck with one or the other?
