Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Simply checking has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find any mention of one in the fee schedule.
Our Verdict
Might be able to find other links for other markets, previous offers have been for AR, IL, KS, MO, OK, TN, TX. Bonus definitely looks worth doing and is better than the $600 bonus previously offered. There is also a $50 referral bonus that might stack, please do not share your referrals in the comments until we confirm it does stack.

Are you near any of their branches listed on the promo page in Texas?
Yes, near Sherman, TX.
Finished round 3 today for the full $900 bonus for MO & KS using Chase Business checking.
Why does this show expired?
Because every link above except Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma is expired?
After manual review $900 was posted to my account today. Apparently the code did not track on all accounts. Fidelity CMA transfers
First two cycles (of 4) were a success using Chase Bix. Attempting Discover savings next cycle. If it doesn’t register, I’ll still have 4th cycle, to hit my 3rd $300 bonus.
Discover worked for me and there’s a previous dp down below that confirmed working
They paid me an extra $300. Ended up with $1200
Wow
Hi,
When did you open? which state are you in? Thank you!
12/31 – opened new account in TX with $50 deposit
1/7 – transferred $5k from external acct (not as DD but just to satisfy $5000 minimum average balance requirement for promo)
1/17 – statement closes
1/30 – $3000 real DD
2/4 – $100 relationship bonus credited
I was expecting a $200 bonus, but they are saying since my ADB was <$5000 I only qualify for the $100. It seems I’m being penalized for the one week it took me to transfer funds in after account opening. But also their terms state they will credit 3 bonuses for the first 4 statement cycles. I would rather them give me nothing for this first one but then give $200 for each of the next 3, for a total of $600. It seems the best I can do now is $600. Anyone else run into this problem?
Correction, the best I can do now is $500.
Are you within their footprint, how far are you from a branch?
I’m in their footprint. You thinking going in person is best bet? Do I wait for next 2 months to post or go now?
Someone tag me when this comes back — I want to get p2 set up
Will be doing Fidelity CMA and WF transfer this month. Since its known Fidelity works if I don’t get it I guess I will do my first CFPB, any tips for that? Thank you
others can feel free to correct me but I’m pretty sure this isnt recommended. you didnt do real DD, you wont have a leg to stand on when CFPB investigates with the bank.
CFPB is defunct
