Barclaycard Brings Back Their Pre-approval/Qualified Checker

Barclaycard used to allow people to check to see if they were pre-approved for any of their credit cards, but for whatever reason they removed the ability to do so in late 2014. Barclaycard has now brought back the ability to check for pre-approved offers. All you need to do is go to the following URL: https://www.barclaycardus.com/apply/ProactivePrescreenLanding.action and enter your personal information.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • There is no hard pull to check for pre-approved offers with Barclaycard
  • If the page says “Recommended offers” or gives you an APR range, then you’re not pre-approved for any cards and this is simply an advertisement on what cards Barclaycard does offer
  • If the page says “Congratulations” and gives you a specified APR, then you’re pre-approved for the cards listed. You’re not guaranteed approval even if you are pre-approved. Learn more about what pre-approved means here.

I’d recommend reading our dedicated post to Barclaycard pre-approved offers found here, which includes screenshots of the different pages and also peoples histories in being approved/denied for these offers. If you’d like to view your pre-approved/qualified offers with other banks then read our dedicated post on that here.

This is only for Barclay branded cards right? No third party (wyndham, hawaiian, etc)?
