Our Verdict

Not as good as the recent 100,000 point bonus, but in line with the personal bonus. Personally I’d hold off in the hopes that we see that 100,000 bonus return, but that might have just been due to the pandemic. For now we won’t add this to the best credit card bonus page.

“previous cardmembers with accounts closed in the past 24 months may not be eligible for this offer” – true or not?

Just to share my data point: I applied in 2019 and CLOSED it in June 2020 when AF hit. I applied without being aware of this limit and get denied. Through talk to the reconsideration line, i was told that the decline was due to bank policy that no new account approval if trying to open again within 24 month same type account closure (NOT open). So don’t worry about if you will get bonus offer. You won’t even get the product at all.

Is there any limit of how long we have to wait before getting the SUB again?

Thinking of going for this and the AA biz. How is Barclays with 2bm or 2 apps on the same day?

Did you try the 2 apps in one day?

I did this; started with AA biz and then Jetblue biz. AA biz was instant approval and Jetblue required further review. Barclays called twice and left messages requiring further info, but after the 2nd VM I noticed a Jetblue biz card in my account also. 1 hard pull on TU.

Can you get this as a sole proprietor?

I did, but I also used my EIN. Not sure that made a difference or not. Sole Prop w/$1.5k a year from my rental property.

Yes. I was approved 2 years ago in Jan/Feb 2019. I applied as sole prop using my EIN, $1000 annual revenue, in business for 10 years. I received a small credit limit of $1000. Fortunately, the minimum spend is also low.

100K bonus also required $6K spending.

Additional $5k of spend gets you 35k points (30k from bonus, 5k from 1x regular earning). So basically 7x per dollar.

Kind of a wash, depends how much you value signing up for another credit card (where 10x or 10% back for signup bonuses is common lately) vs. the simplicity of spending more on a card you already have.

If I recall the 6k spend was in 6m so 1k per month was very easy

Good point and it was actually 12 months which is perfectly reasonable, I think I’ll wait for another possible 100k biz offer.

“Barclays offering a sign up bonus of 100,000 JetBlue points on the JetBlue Business card. Bonus is broken down as follows:

Earn 50,000 points after $1,000 in spend within the first 90 days
Earn an additional 50,000 bonus points after spending a total of $6,000 on purchases within the first 12 months”

I was approved for this 100k offer, last year, but with a meager $1000 credit limit. I was not comfortable with cycling the limit so I went ahead and closed the card before activating the card
