Best Posts This Week: Citi Prestige 50k Offer, 48k LANPass Offer, Favorite Airline Cards + Much More

The biggest news this week was the fact that Citi has increased the sign up bonus on their Citi Prestige card to 50,000 ThankYou points. If you recently applied for this card, it’s possible to ask to be matched to this higher bonus, but do this sooner rather than later. Also keep in mind there is an in branch offer for 60,000 points (which you can get over the phone), this offer has a lower annual fee of $350 as well – but a much higher minimum spending requirement.

In other credit card sign up bonus news, U.S Bank increased the sign up bonus on their LANPASS card to 30,000 miles/48,000KM – which is enough for a round trip flight to some parts of South America. We also asked some of our favorite bloggers what their favorite airline credit card was, the common theme is that almost none of the airline cards are worth keeping long term – just get the sign up bonus and cancel. With credit card issuers removing benefits left and right, we took a look at what changes they can legally make in the first year after you’ve been approved.

There were two deals (that are still available) that are worth doing this week. Number one is the fact that eBay are selling $100 gift cards for $95 (limit of two), this is a great time to stock up so you can purchase other gift cards at a discount later (further discounts from eBay coding as 5x on Chase Ink cards). You can also get $25 in gift cards for completing a test drive with Subaru.

We’ve updated our best bank bonus for April, check it out if you want to see the best offers currently available. We’ve also completely cleaned up our bank bonus database, there shouldn’t be any expired offers in there anymore. There weren’t many new bonuses this week, the only two really worth mentioning were targeted: $200 from U.S Bank and $300 from USAA.
