Capital One Adds ‘Account Manager’ Feature

Capital One has added a feature which allows a unique login for a special type of authorized user who has the elevated status of ‘account manager’. The account manager can create a login to manage the account, review transactions, make payments and the like.

Typically we just share the login info with someone who we trust with the account. But this still can be a useful feature in some situations.

I believe many banks (e.g. Chase, Amex, etc) have a feature to appoint an account manager who can manage the account, even to close it out, over the phone.

Can you set up an account manager to make calls on your behalf?
Not only with Cap1, but especially with Chase and Amex?

That would benefit some of us with P2 who hates calling banks.

My spouse is an authorized user. Will upgrading her to “account manager” cause a hard pull? Thanks!

I hope Barclays adds this feature soon.

They had this years ago. At least for business CC accounts.

I saw this a few months ago and tried to get manager access to my wife’s cc account. Jumped through the hoops and it did not work. Is there something different today?

I wish they would offer spending limits and category limits like Barclays does.

Yes.
If they already have their own cards and account with capital one, their AU card just pops up there, along with the points on the card.

This only works with someone you really trust and with rules.

I got a Venture X with $30k limit, my friend is an account manager to help build his credit and keep his utilization down. We agreed he keeps the points earned on his spend, i keep the SUB and 10k anniversary points since I pay the annual fee.
