Changes Coming To The Best Western Loyalty Program (Dynamic Award Pricing)

Best Western has announced some changes on the UK version of the site, most of the changes are specific to those in the UK (who used to have a slightly different version of Best Western rewards that will now merge with the worldwide program), for example points will never expire but this is already the case for the US version of the program.

The biggest change is the fact that they are moving to dynamic award pricing, or as they put it:

Increased free night room availability will mean more opportunities for you to get away. The points needed for a free night stay will alter dependant on the time of year, meaning you can stay for fewer points when demand for your chosen hotel is lower.

These changes will come into effect on January 1st, 2016. We won’t know how much difference there really will be until they come into effect, but generally dynamic pricing means it’s much more difficult to get massive value out of your points but easier to actually redeem them.
