Chase Approving New Credit Card Applicants With Non-Immigrant Visas (DHS Authorization SSN)

Earlier this month we reported that Chase had made a change where applicants with “Valid for work only with DHS Authorization” on the social security cards were being automatically denied for Chase credit cards. According to Chase lending services representatives this was rolled back on August 20, 2020 and these applicants can now be approved (subject to normal lending requirements). If you were denied previously it should be possible to call in and get your application reconsidered.
