[Targeted] Chase Cards: Spend $20 Online with Google Pay & Get $10 Statement Credit

Update 4/14/21: Many more people targeted today via email.

The Offer

No direct link, targeted email offer

Chase is sending out to some cardholders on their Freedom, Sapphire cards, Southwest, and IHG cards an email offer to try Google Pay online by 6/15/21 and earn $10:

  • Get a $10 statement credit when you save your Chase Freedom credit card to your Google account and make a minimum purchase of $20 at your favorite stores using Google Pay online.

The Fine Print

  • Promotion ends 6/15/21
  • May take up to 8 weeks for credit to post to your account

Our Verdict

I’m not sure which stores take Google Pay online, please share in the comments if there’s any popular/easy one to use this offer at. (Some suggest egifter.com.)

Has anyone had any luck getting the offer? Seems like all the comments so far are complaining of issues.

Received an invoice from a small business through Square and noticed Google Pay was an option, so I tried it out. Here’s hoping!

I used it at eBay. First, I tried from my computer and got the error, my chase showed the charge and immediate reversal. I then installed the app on the phone and registered the card for payment with NFC and made a checkout on the phone. I think the part of registering for NFC did the trick. I don’t know if it triggered the offer though, we’ll see, I needed to make that purchase anyway.

I received my second email from Chase for this offer.
I purchased a gift card from eGifter on March 23.
Since I have time on my hands, I called up Chase.
They told me that their records show that the purchase was with GooglePay.
We shall see.
At least with eGift cards we don’t lose anything.

I used egifter, it says on the receipt googlepay but I don’t see it listed as such on Chase. It was about two weeks ago when I did it originally, and it says to wait up to 8 weeks for credit. We’ll see!

Purchased a $20 gift card from EGIFTEREGIFTERCOM using Chase-app registered Gpay on March 28. New statement has yet come out but the transaction does not show anything about Gpay.
Not so optimistic.

I searched many sites but found none take gpay. So i followed pahanin comment, opened my cfa one app, clicked add funds, then choose $25 then google pay, then click my chase freedom as payment card, then click purchase, it went through smoothly without any pin or code. My chick fil a app instantly shown 25$ credit. I should receive a confirmation of redemption from chase after 5 days. If not, i will try another merchant before June. 😂
