The standard offer showing on the Chase site is a $200 bonus. Only referrals get the $300 bonus.
Card Details
- No annual fee
- Earns 5% back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on cellular phone, landline, internet and cable TV services each account anniversary year
- Earns 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases at gas stations and restaurants each account anniversary year
- Unlimited 1% cash back on all other purchases
Our Verdict
Many people won’t be eligible for the card due to the 5/24 rule. However, if you get pre-approved in a Chase branch, you can circumvent that issue. It might be that you can even process a referral in-branch along with a preapproval offer in branch by giving the banker the info of the person who referred you.
The in-branch offer on the INK Cash is probably $300 as well.
Note, assuming you are eligible for the INK Plus card, it usually makes more sense to signup for that and get a higher signup bonus. You can subsequently product change the card to the INK Cash version to save the annual fee if you choose.
