Our Verdict
Last year we saw a five free night offer (up to category 5). This deal isn’t as good as that in my opinion, but if you want to stay at properties that are higher than category 5 it could make some sense. You should also be able to just resell the gift card as well, but you’ll obviously take a hit on that. For now won’t add this to our best credit card bonus page.

Can you use the e card gift certificate if you cancel the credit card
I finally after one week did receive my $250 e Gift Card. Had to contact Marriott Gift Card then they contacted Gift Card Support! There email is [email protected]!
I haven’t received mine too! I would not recommend chase credit card to any of my friends. Also, they are charging me $95 annual fee in advance as I thought they will charge me AFTER my card anniversary because that’s the one that says in the packet that I received along with my card. But after one month that I got this credit card they charged me right away for the annual fee. I am so pissed!
I still haven’t received my 250 bonus is it a bill credit
Does anyone know who issues the email for the $250 egift card. I never received mine and I’m getting the run around from both Chase and Marriott. Both are say that the other party issues the gift card.
Any luck on this I just realized I haven’t gotten the email either?
We haven’t gotten ours either and keep getting sent back and forth between chase and marriott. Did anyone actually get the gift card and if so, who did you get it from.
Chase told me it’s a bill credit?
I received a letter from Chase and it says the gift card comes from Marriott. Marriott told me I should receive it after the first billing cycle and that still hasn’t happed. So I’m on hold with Marriott again. This is the worst credit card promotion ever!
copy & pasted from an email I rec’d:
Hello,
You cannot use gift cards to book reservations, it can only be done with credit cards. However, you can use the gift card to pay for your stay, by presenting it during the checkout.

little fyi, the re-selling world for Marriott gc’s improved dramatically this month…. just this past week went from 5% down to 1.2% on Raise…. (those of us who “loaned” Marriott the proverbial ton via the25% and more gc promos last year and then able to be patient…. now smiling. (Reminds me I have two Amex offers on different Marriott cards for 20% off $200 cards…. exp. soon.)
Marriott or chase is playing games
I have the Amex Bonvoy and I cannot apply for this
I have been staying at Privileges and Best Western and Wyndham. The service is better. They have grab and go breakfast They have simple straight forward promotions NO GIMMICKS. NO PARKING FEES. LESS NONSENSE
They also have welcome bags amenities
Wyndham vacation club is better than Marriott
How do they know if you’re a cardmember of an amex bonvoy card?
Can someone double check with their customer service if the GC is taxable
Last time I looked at the offer language via a source, the GC may generate 1099
Go call them yourself if you’re so curious, lazy ass.
Not a good offer at all compared to last year’s 5 cert offer. That 5 cert offer last year was good for Cat 6 properties (50k points per night), not just Cat 5. P2 did that offer and we have 5 nights booked at a Cat 6 property this summer thanks to it.
5 free night certs should allow you to book 6 nights right?
Unfortunately, 5th night free doesn’t work with certs
Didn’t realize that; thanks
What was the best online cash rate for that Cat 6 redemption year?
