Looks like the Chase referral portal is now updated with the 75k offer! Woohoo!

Does this still count for CP progress?

Got matched from 50k to 75K via SM. Early October app. They told me I need to write back after meeting additional spend to have the points posted. A little tricky with the CP timing, but not a big deal.

Got matched no problem via SM. Early Oct sign up. The strange part was that due to the increased spend I have to write back to claim the extra miles after the spend. It’s going to be tricky because I need all the miles to post in 2023. So I cannot exceed the original spend limit too soon.

Is this a backdoor way to get a referral bonus? Last I checked referrals still had the 50k offer. Would I be able to collect a referral bonus and then p2 calls to get the higher offer?

I think that the point is, “maybe,” or even “probably.” It’s relatively low risk: Worst case, you get a combined 70k points for $1k spend instead of 75k for $3k spend. Best case is 95k combined points for $3k spend. By going the referral route now, you’re really only putting 5k points at risk, which seems like a risk worth taking to maybe get the 95k.

For me, personally, I’m working on the spend for my Bus Preferred anyway, so I’m going to wait a couple of weeks to see if the 75k offer shows up in the referrals to have a “no risk” 95k points option.
