Update 4/4/22: Deal is back and valid until 5/15/2022.

The Offer

No direct link, check your Chase Offers to see if you were targeted

  • Chase is offering $50 back for new Xfinity residential customers.

The Fine Print

  • Offer expires 12/31/2019.
  • Must pay first bill of $49.99 or more by 2/14/2020.
  • Your $50 back will be processed within 30 days after making your payment.
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant.
  • Offer valid one time only.
  • New residential customers only. Equip. taxes and fees, including Broadcast TV Fee (up to $10.00/mo.), Regional Sports Fee (up to $8.25/mo.) & other applicable charges extra (subject to change during & after promo). After applicable promo, or if any service is cancelled or downgraded, regular rates apply. See more terms & conditions at www.xfinity.com. See disclaimer for details.

Our Verdict

Not sure how Chase can tell the difference between a new customer charge and an existing customer charge, but I suppose the company codes the first payment differently. There’s also a separate Chase Offer/BofA for Xfinity Mobile.

2/23: New account first payment to CFU for $53.83 (where equipment accounted for $14 and $0.6 in tax)
4/19: $50 credit posted

Oh and seeing new rounds of this on a few Chase cards that expires on 5/23 and first bill by 7/6

I can attest they code them differently. On my Chase Offer I even got an immediate auto trigger email after making a payment on Xfinity internet, but never got the $50 credit.

Anyone know if paying XFinity mobile bill will trigger this? I’m thinking not because it codes as “XMobile”

Did anyone get the credit from Chase? It’s been over 2 weeks and I haven’t received the credit so prob won’t get it.

I live in Portland and the last time this offer appeared, I paid $50 as an existing customer. The charge billed as Comcast (not Xfinity). Did not receive the credit. If indeed the billing entity must be Xfinity and not Comcast then add another datum point to the failed ledger.

This is a chase card? Unlike BoA and Amex, Chase doesn’t send an immediate confirmation email an offer has been redeemed.

Is the offer supposed to disappear once redeemed? If so it didn’t work for me. I turned on offer notifications only after I made the payment.

I signed up for Xfinity Internet in July 2021 but accidentally paid the $25 deposit in store with an Ink instead of the card with the offer. The offer expired on 8/20/2021 (with first payment made by 10/4/2021) so I made a $50 payment from the web site to the correct card in in early August after the 1st bill came out. The offer went from Added on 8/20/2021 to Expired on 8/21/2021 (it never disappeared).

I wrote off the offer after paying the rest of the bill with the Ink thru AutoPay in early September. In mid September I got the email stating that the offer had been redeemed. In Chase Offers the redemption date is the day before I made the manual payment which is odd. Hope this helps.

@John, the charge shows up as just Comcast and I’m in Virginia.

Crap, am even signing up for xfinity today and the offer isn’t on any of my cards across several accounts. Nothing on 3 freedoms, 4 IHG, Reserve, and several business cards.

I did this offer a few months ago. The first bill payment did not trigger the offer, but called into Chase and they were able to manually review and approve the offer.
