The Offer

Check your Bank Amerideals from Bank of America for the following offer:

  • Activate to get $50 back at Xfinity internet when you spend $49.99.

The Fine Print

  • New residential customers only.
  • Must order directly through Comcast or participating E-tailer only.
  • Must sign up for Comcast service by 7/21/2019 and pay first bill by 9/4/2019.
  • $50 cash back will be earned after the 1st bill of $49.99 or more is paid using the card designated for this offer.
  • Equip. taxes and fees, including Broadcast TV Fee (up to $10.00/mo.), Regional Sports Fee (up to $8.25/mo.) & other applicable charges extra (subject to change during & after promo).
  • After applicable promo, or if any service is cancelled or downgraded, regular rates apply. See more terms & conditions at http://www.xfinity.com.
  • Offer not valid on third-party purchases.
  • Offer valid 1 time only.

Our Verdict

I don’t have the fine print on this one I’m not sure if the ‘new customers’ clause is enforced. I’m also unsure if this offer is showing on any of the other banks besides for Bank of America, such as Chase Offers.

Terms say this is for the first bill only? So you need to sign up for new service?

Unfortunately, it seems so. I had this offer and paid 49.99 on my existing account and the bonus was not triggered.

Hmmm if it were to show in both Chase and BoA, can you do the deal twice?
I understand they have the same back end, but still?

“New residential customers only. Must order directly through Comcast or participating E-tailer only”
So it’s not just for bill pay. Please update

I have it, but I’m unsure how to use it. It says for new customers, do I just pay my regular xfinity bill?

You do have to be a new customer and shop through BofA portal.

Thank you!

There is no such thing as “BofA portal”.

Swagbucks has this CB deal, and seems to not have plan purchase requirement.

None for me.

I had this previously and spent 49.99 on my first bill and it did not track.

It definitely says new customers only, but how does BofA know that when the first purchase posts (it does not appear one needs to go through a BofA portal)? I pay for cable/internet every month on a different card… can’t hurt to change and see what happens.

I put my full bill on a BofA card after activating the deal. No luck on the $50 credit. No loss either though.

I got the offer in May, with the fine print clearly requireing signing up through the BoA offer link for $79.99 DoublePlay as a new customer with a 2-yr commitment. I took a chance, paid $49.99 to Xfinity Internet but it didn’t trigger the bonus. Can’t argue, given the fine print, so I called to have Comcast refund the payment. Someone’s DP on Reddit showing otherwise was from Feb. 2019, before BoA/Comcast wised up and updated the fine print.

Generally it triggers if you just pay 49.99$ with BofA card (as similar like ATT deals).
I’m going to try in few days,Will keep you guys posted
