The Offer

Check your Bank Amerideals for the following offer:

  • Earn $25 back when you sign up for phone service with Visible

A number of banks use the same back end for these offers. This includes: Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Regions Bank, Suntrust Bank, BBVA, BB&T, PNC, Columbia Bank, Beneficial Bank, and Christian Community CU. You can read this post for more information.

The Fine Print

  • Offer expires 11/27/2020
  • Payment must be made directly with the merchant

Our Verdict

Previously we saw a $35 bonusIf you keep the service for two months you can get a $100 Mastercard gift card. Service costs $25 the first month and then $45 monthly after that. Not sure if this offer works to pay for an existing service or not.

I have family members coming from overseas for a short time. I’m thinking of getting them Visible SIM cards using this deal at a net cost of $5. Any gotchas, like automatic renewal?

How long did you receive the credit? I made payments on 11/25 (BOA) and 11/29 (Chase), none of them showed up?

Now that the new requirement for this offer is $30+ since the last a few rounds, I guess I have to upgrade the plan to $30 one. From the last round, one friend of mine was able to get $25 credit even though he spent just $25 while the offer mentioned $30+. So I gave it a try with my $25 plan, but I wasn’t lucky enough to get the offer triggered.

I’ve prepaid a few days in advance, no idea if you can pre pay several months ahead(I’m assuming yes)

If you turn off autopay, you are able to manually pay your bill about 5 days early. However it is not possible to prepay multiple months.

Visible offers discounts on new phones in the form of “Get a virtual VISA after three months of service”. For example, most iPhones currently have a $250 offer. Visible also unlocks phones after 60 days. So, here’s the full playbook you could follow:

-Sign up for $30/month plan for three months
-Get $25 back from Chase. Use someone’s referral code to get a further $20 saved
-Net cost of three months of phone service $45; maybe you can do better via shopping portal, etc.
-Get a new phone and bank the gift card (e.g. $250)
-Trade-in your old phone to a third party (Apple, Gazelle, whatever) for more cash
-Transfer to your most cost-effective low-cost carrier after three months (look at US Mobile if you like Verizon’s network; data is prioritized if you have a 5G-capable phone and they have plans to match many different usage profiles)

They stopped giving visa/MC gift cards. Now it’s just a small selection of gift cards you can choose from that include Amazon, Best Buy, Lowes, and a few more.

Still, I think this is one of the cheapest ways to get an unlocked iPhone since they never go on sale and you’re ok with all the terms and conditions of the deal.

Good clarification on the gift cards. Yeah, what makes Visible stand out is the 60-day unlock policy. Other low-cost carriers offer deals but keep your device locked for a year

Tracfone I think is also 60 days. Owned by Verizon just like Visible. But their swap deal phones always came unlocked for me, Moto E6, Visible Midnight and Moto G Pure. Did they change something recently or they lock high end phones only?

They had $300 gc instead of $250 from pre-Thanksgiving all the way up till last week. Hopefully it’ll come back for Christmas.

They seem to be OOS on some lower capacity iPhones (I.e. 128Gb). Who knows if they’ll restock throughout this month so keep an eye out.

The only issue is that if you have already gotten a Visible rebate before, it sounds like you aren’t eligible for a new rebate.

Not seeing it on any of my CFs, CIU, or on BofA. Hopefully it pops up in a day or two or else I’ll just use the $5 off $25 Visible offer on Paypal.

It’s been on US Bank offers 3 months in a row now for me. I charged a phone through them on 7/29 and it hadn’t finished posting before the August visible offer appeared, and thankfully it triggered the July offer so I should be able to get $50 out of USB for it 😂. In addition to the $50 gift card/$5 first month offers. Capital One Shopping was also at 40% (not $40) last week which was why I took the plunge will see if it pays out, it tracked but doesn’t show rewards amount.

Flynn Not that you were waiting for my DP or anything but the timelines did all line up and everything seems to have worked so figured I’d post this for future reference. I bought service and the cheapest 5g phone (for testing) through Capital One Shopping with a referral code. For reference you do need to pay 2 months to unlock a phone bought through them and 3 months to collect any gift card bonus.

I paid:
$5 1st month service (referral)
$25 2nd month service
$25 3rd month service
$150 cheapest 5g phone

I got:
$25 card statement
$25 card statement
$50 gift card
$56 capital one (40% of the $145 that tracked)
$2 regular cashback (could have been $10 if I had phone as a 5% category)

So I ended up paying $50 for 3 months service and a budget phone I might sell to a coworker. I really didn’t think the Capital One Shopping thing would work, or else I would have tried with a better phone 😂. It tracked fairly quickly for a slightly wrong amount and didn’t show any dollar value for rewards for a full 60 days but is now pending.

Bockrr awesome DP, thanks. I was similarly able to use the $25 off offers consecutively from one Chase personal account, one Chase business (separate login), and one BoA, plus a PayPal $5 off one-time. I just got my $50 virtual GC code for porting in an BYOD phone after going through the rigamarole of chatting with CS and submitting a screenshot proving my port out from Mint Mobile. Time to move on though with the Amex Offer of $45 off $90 on Mint again.

Your wording is very confusing. Is this a signup offer, or a payment offer? It sounds like it’s an any/recurring credit card payment offer?
