20% off Chevron = price of rest of gas stations without discount 😀
It’s closer to that where gas is cheaper. But in parts of the country where gas is still over $5, that’s about $1 off, and that’s more the difference between gas stations near each other in most cases.
But yes, it’s still nowhere near TRULY 20% off once you factor in the prices at other gas stations.
It’s a similar thing with the fuel points at Kroger where you get up to $1 off for 1000 points each month. It’s not truly a full $1 off the price of stations down the street, but it’s still a substantial savings. Except it’s opposite in that case: With a fixed amount discount, the lower the price of the gas, the bigger the savings, while with a percentage discount, the higher the price of the gas, the bigger the savings.
Didnt get this offer but got a Circle K Pay at pump offer fo 20% cash back upto $8, expires Nov 18. Got it on my debit card
Got this one and some other 20% offers on the Southwest Card but not the Freedom Card. The Southwest Card has been open since early Nov 2022 with the annual fee to presumably hit Dec 1. Will Chase decline to refund the annual fee if there are some Nov charges on this card?
The CVS 20% off offer is a good one to highlight since anyone can max out the $8 with $40 of giftcards.
Used some 20% offers. Got the credits about a week or two after using them. Paid off the balance in late November. The annual fee posted December 1st and I cancelled today with no issues.
Got the offer, likely won’t use it. Didn’t get it on 6 credit cards, did get the offer on two debit cards – there’s no way I’m using a debit card in a gas pump…

6x Chase cards and all I seem to ever get is stuff like $5 off a Jitterbug phone from Consumer Cellular.
Sadly no Chevrons anywhere in my area but of course I have the offer. It’s GoPuff all over again 🙁
