- Up to $150 in credit on JSX purchases Get up to $150 back as a statement credit annually when you book flights directly with JSX using your United Quest℠ Card
Hate that Chase is following American Express’ coupon book strategy. In isolation you’re getting a lot more value from the modest $100 annual fee increase but all of the credits are difficult to use (e.g two instacart credits per month of only $10/$5). The card also wasn’t worth keeping long term before so this arguably makes it even worse. Some people will find value in the new benefits/annual fee increase but I just find these credits a pain.
It’s also possible to generate referrals for the new Chase United cards when you change “215f” to “215r”. Please do not share your referrals in the comments below.

I am current United quest card holder and my last annual fee was paid in August 2024. Do these new benefit apply right away or after the anniversary?
What happens to the purchase credit $125 till next annual fee? I have booked flight using miles on March 27 and 28 and paid around $60 in additional charges. In the past charges were reimbursed on the same date but no statement credit so far. I guess this benefit is gone now.
So far received only following email from united:

I got the same problem. You are in the old cycle or renewals where you get your credits based on united charges and Chase is NOT on that basis anymore, just United putting new Quest renewals in as $200 travel bank credits. You need to call customer service and explain how credits were previously issued on spending on United and have a customer service complaint elevated to markieting department. This is what I did today
Now following up a few days later, my inquiry/complaint to Chase was elevated to Marketing and now my $125 credit for the current annual cycle was posted to my card as a credit to resolve the problem.
sp, the reply you got from Chase is incorrect. You need to call and complain.
On another note, I am unable to get the united cars to book anything, just freezes up and not complete the reservation. The Doordash credits dont work and dont get a free year since it conflicts with the previous offer from other years. Doordash does not understand this is a new offer since the card has been rebranded benefits
What is the difference between the United Hotels $100 credit on the Explorer (that just seems to be copy of Expedia) and the Renowned Hotels and Resorts credit here? Is it only expensive hotels or something? Is there any way to preview the results of that?
It’s similar to the AMEX FHR program. The hotels are all 4 or 5 star hotels. It includes breakfast for 2 people and $100 property credit. Just like Amex FHR. It’s quite different than Chase Travel portal.
Can you stack this for a 2 night reservation with the Amex FHR and get $100 credit x2 and also 2 days worth of breakfasts?
I know the back to back stay with Amex FHR program prevents two $100 dining credits. Amex never mentioned that you never stack up with benefits from other program. I heard people stack up Hilton breakfast credit with FHR breakfast credit all the time. I don’t see any reason the hotel would refuse since the reservations were made from two different program. I was thinking about dong that initially but decided to stay at the different hotel within walking distance just to be safe. Anyway, the $150 credit came in once the charge was fully posted from pending.
Used two back too back Cap1 VenX Premier choice (Cap1 VenX version of FHR (even added Kimpton Reservation to IHG -double dipped all credits – raid the bar $10 -secret word earned nights and points (one was P2 card added both to my IHG account).
That said the desk person did have to look it up to make sure (was well aware of FHR policy) . Had no issues with multiple back-back to back FHR bookings Shangri-la Sydney (this was post rule change).
TBH with the $200 Travelbank credit, $250 ~ $300+ Renowned Hotels (I figure breakfast for 2 worth at least $50 at a 4☆-5☆ property.
The rideshare credits (I do Lyft loads with Delta Biz plat) We have Multiple Plat/Golds for Uber/ Eats – if were not flying that month – I do food pickup – I have found having Lyft and Uber sometimes one is cheaper (sometimes by a lot for Airport rides).
The Instacart I feel is worth $130 ($50 discounted annual membership to get credit – we have Instacart grocery pickup (no fees).
$40 per year doordash credit at non-food (quarterly).
Roadside Assistance 4x$50 per year – have kids and rent cars so gas, a flat or locking keys in car – haven’t needed a jump in years. But still cheaper than a AAA membership.
Also got the UA Biz in February before refresh (needed the MSR for purchases).
That also has Instacart (but only 25% discount). Rideshare credit worked on Bolt App in Philippines. Also used $50 UA hotel credit in Manila for P2.
Also get 5K UA miles for holding UA Pers/Biz card and two UA club passes for when we are not flying business-but PDX just got a PriortyPass lounge Escape. But options.
I have no issues with the coupons – they have have actually turned into net postive ROI vs AF with Amex Plat/Delta Biz.
The Delta Stays (upgraded after refresh $200 in 2024 and just used the 2025 $200 credit last month.
Yes its a little pain to track it all -but I don’t mind – sorry to see the ABP $400 Dell credit changing. But it was a triple dip application last Dec.
I tried to enroll (enrollment required for many of the benefits). but no idea how to do it in the mobile app
United Club card drops Star Alliance lounges unless you have Premier Gold status or spend $50,000 on the card. So far, no change in annual fee. From the email:
“Effective August 1, 2025, your United Card comes with our United Club membership plan exclusive to Cardmembers. With the change, your United Club Card membership includes access for one guest and dependent children under 18 and no longer offers Star Alliance and other partner lounge access.”
“Want to earn All Access? United Club All Access members enjoy additional benefits. As a Cardmember, you can unlock All Access membership by earning Premier® Gold status or by spending $50,000 on purchases each calendar year.*”
Correction, AF went up to $695. Pay more, get less.
I was denied access to a Star Alliance club back in 2022 while holding the Club card, still salty about it.
What pisses me off is that this shows that chase can still do Instacart credits and yet they’ve switched over to the worthless doordash credits for the CSR
This is the beginning of the end
does uber cash reloading work?
It’s over Johnny, It’s Over ! Ones again coupon book! Garbage 🗑️
I’m not a fan of coupon books, but the changes aren’t as bad as some people are making it out to be.
They’re bumping the TravelBank cash up to $200 and you still get priority boarding + 2 free checked bags for 2 people. The twice-per-year bonus miles perk is now a 10,000 mile anniversary discount which might be easier to use (TBD). Just these perks cover a $350 AF. The new “partner credits” are an added bonus on top of that. They seem totally optional.
Hopefully the monthly rideshare credit works for things like Uber Cash reloads. If not, it’s worse than AMEX Gold’s $10/month Uber Cash. The monthly Instacart credits sound annoying but I’m kinda used to that after dealing with the CSR’s recent Instacart credits. I’ll be fine if Aldi pickup still works. I wish the Instacart+ was included instead of “3 months free, then 50% off an annual plan” but it’s better than nothing.
$40-80 toward Avis/Budget is good for people who use them. Personally I only use Enterprise and Sixt so idc. The $150 JSX credit could be useful since I’m near one of their airports (TBD). I don’t care about the $150 “Renowned Hotels and Resorts” credit but I’m sure some people can use it.
Overall, annual fee increases are never welcome, but it’s easier than ever to offset the Quest AF.
Does that mean that the 5K back bonus on two award flights is now gone, immediately?
Exactly. I have a couple of flights next month which were reserved specifically to receive the miles, so I can’t take advantage of the “discount” this close to the flights…
