Check Your AmEx Offers For No Lifetime Language Offers

There are reports of some people receiving no lifetime language credit card offers from American Express in their AmEx offers. Normally American Express cards contain the following language:

  • Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product.

These offers do not contain this language (but as always double check your offer to ensure this is the case). So far the following offers have been seen:

Typically these no lifetime language offers are only worth doing if you’ve had the card before, otherwise it’s usually possible to get a bigger bonus elsewhere. For example the you can get 95,000 points on the Business Platinum currently. If you check your offers and see one we don’t have listed, let us know in the comments below.

Are you talking about a referral offer? Why does the language mention friend?

Amex Offers, at the bottom of the Home page. Click View All and either scroll or choose Featured.

Can also come up as a white (or is it off-white?) banner at the top of one of the pages. Click through all cards and tabs, as it usually only appears under one or two combinations – e.g. an offer appeared after selecting my EDP and going to Transactions.

Im afraid im with you on this one. Todays AMEX Hilton Honors letter that came in the mail means Im on the radar now, so MS’ing with their cards is probably not a good idea.

How do we know if the no lifetime language isn’t just an oversight?

Hey, that’ll get you to Europe on Delta! If you don’t mind leaving at 5:30am. Or a 12-hour layover. Or traveling in January. Or on a mixed class ticket. I mean one-way. Obviously.
