I’m wondering if Radisson US is still allowing transfers to Radisson World?

seems to be the most common question in this thread (one way or the other)…. Alas, by the time we find out no, it will be too late…. ? Any hints out there?

Rad USA Hotels are not good. Choice also doesn’t allow award booking beyond 3 months. So, Choice only value “Cash” bookings!!! TERRIBLE!!!

Since Radisson Global shut its relationship with US Bank, how can I keep my global points alive without staying at a property? Will the global program devalue?

Choice is only good for some preferred hotels. However, is this the start of Choice going on a shopping spree similar to IHG and Hyatt?

Country Inns and Suites, which is most of Radisson US, is a very good fit for Choice.

In Europe Radisson is amazing and points have good value. The Mayfair in London is still 75 or 100K per night and just in London Radisson has several top-level luxury hotels. Paris and most of Europe is even better. Since my aspirations don’t run to spending that many points for a Country Inns and Suites or a Comfort Inn, I’ll be jumping ship with my points ASAP. I just have to figure how to keep them alive.

While I’m not surprised that Radisson was sold, given the split into two separate entities, I am highly disappointed that the Americas is going to choice hotels. It’s just a matter of time before choice runs the Radisson brands into the ground.

The biggest part of Choice rewards that I do not care for is the fact that you cannot book award stays beyond 100 days in advance. That makes planning a bit challenging. I completely understand why choice does it, but have avoided choice like the plague.

My dilemma is what to do with all of my Radisson points. since nothing is going to occur for sometime, my plan is to hang tight for now until more information is released in terms of the integration of the two programs. I’m assuming the two programs will combine, but one never knows.

I agree that we must move our Radisson US points to Radisson World ASAP where they have much more value and choices.

I thought the reason for the spin-off was pretty clear (and reasonably well documented) – once Radisson was purchased by a Chinese government corporation, the US government took issue with the global parent company having control over US customers’ data.

Is anyone else having trouble finding many points redemptions? Was just checking them out before this and they were fine and now…poof

As of today, you can buy 1,000 Radisson Hotels America points for $7 (0.7 CPP) and 1,000 Choice Hotels points for $12.80 (1.28 CPP). My guess is that Choice will give you 1/2 point for each Radisson Hotels America point when the programs merge.

That seems about right. The Radisson’s we’ve used were around 45k points and a comparable Choice Hotel in the same area, maybe a bit nicer, is 25,000.
