Citi American Airlines 60,000 Mile Offers To End This Thursday?

Citi currently has increased sign up bonuses on the following American Airlines cards:

According to bloggers with affiliate links these offers are due to expire this Thursday. Often when affiliate links for an offer disappear there are still some working ‘zombie’ links for the offer, or the standard offer is just extended. That being said if you’re interested in either card now might be a good time to apply. Also keep in mind there is a 75,000 mile offer on the Executive card as well. As always read these 19 things everybody should know about Citi cards before applying as it contains important information including the Citi 24 month family rule. It’s also worth pointing out that there is a personal version offering $100 statement credit and 50,000 miles. It’s also possible to get a 50,500 mile offer on the Barclaycard American Airlines card. Adding this to our deal calendar as well.

Any working 60k personal links left? The ones on this page show 60k, but when you try to apply, the page errors out.

Another DP here that your link doesn’t work anymore. I got an error page as well.

The business one still works though.

Update: Approved after 6 days of waiting, no Recon. Credit Limit $1,500 haha…lowest limit.I’ve ever had. Was approved with $12K credit limit for aadvantage business 3months ago…2nd time having both cards at same time. I think Im at about 12 or 13 cards or so within last 12months. Im guessing Citi has had it with me after this CL for a while.

I applied for the citi aa business card two weeks ago and got my first denial this year. The letter specified that I had a collection charge off (which is true). I called the recon line and they didn’t budge and told me to take care of it with eq. I have 3 active aa cards and my eq and exp score is over 700. It seems like the citi business department is strict if you have a baddie. Anyone have luck obtaining a business credit card from citi with a baddie? Thanks for listening.

I’m extremely concerned that AA will pull this offer on Thursday….

And replace it with a 75,000 mile offer.

Which will almost certainly be enough to buy a domestic round trip in coach before the next devaluation

Do you mean there will be a better offer for 75k after Thursday?

Even if that’s the case, Citi is extremely generous with matching in my experience.

I am wondering if this is pure guess or it’s from some trustable sources.

What are you talking about? 60k is enough for a domestic r/t right now even after a devaluation.

It used to be that you could apply for two AA Citi personal cards at the same time using two browsers, but if I understand all rules correctly that is no longer the case and it’s not possible to apply for two AA personal cards even 8 days later and get the bonuses. Is there any way to apply for the 60K offer on the personal card, and the 75K offer on the Executive card (w/ lounge access)?

I believe you are right, you’ll have to pick your bonus.

Well that’s a bummer. Got the business version a few weeks ago, and a different Citi card a few weeks before that. Was planning on picking this up once my 65 days were up… guess not!

Hi Charles,

Based on your knowledge from the affiliate links, is Thursday 7/13 the last day I can still apply the card and get 60K or is the last day for this deal Wednesday 7/12?

Thanks.

Hi is it easy getting a business Citi card as a Sole Prop as I don’t really have a business but I do have business cards from Chase and Amex and those were pretty easy to get. Thanks!

I was approved as sole prop having had the card open and closed 2-3yrs ago, apply for biz before personal.

In my experience (as a legit sole prop but with <$1000 income), Chase is by far the hardest to get a business card. I had to call in for my Citi business, but they didn't ask any questions regarding my business; they just asked questions to verify identity. I'd say give it a try!

Was having a hard time finding milesaaver reward space, so I been using aa miles for car and hotel stays…the hotel redemption isnt bad if you have current AA card and get the discounted rate, 4,900pts for a night at the linq in vegas. Also 24k points for a 7 day car rental at lax with probably $100 in taxes.
