Discover Adds Home Depot To Their Q2 2020 Rotating Categories

Discover added today Home Depot as an additional option to get 5% in the Q2 2020 5% categories. Home Depot will be available as an option just for the month of June, and it will combine with the other categories toward the $1,500 Q2 2020 limit.

Previously, the available categories were Gas Stations, Uber, Lyft and Wholesale Clubs, and now, for the month of June, Home Depot is an additional option to get 5%, up to $1,500 in purchases combined between all of the categories.

Buying Home Depot gift card from the home depot website would not count towards the 5% category

This is great, because I need blinds, as well as a washer and dryer.

Just spent $100 at Home Depot a few days ago. They do have a decent GC rack at HD if you are looking to max out your spend this month.

It’s like they want us to buy gift cards…

Does anyone know if they have at least $500 GC’s available? I hate only finding the $100, I feel it’s not worth it.

2 months too late Discover, the home improvement stores were missing from the rotating 5% until now! I ended up buying an appliance from Best Buy instead last week – timing is everything!

My first hat tip! Thanks, Chuck! Glad I was able to contribute something to the site. Really appreciate all the work you guys do. Related Discover note: I took advantage of the 0% APR promo you posted about. If any other DoC readers are planing a purchase at HD and want both the cash back and the promo apr on it, do call them to activate the it a couple days beforehand. It takes 24 hours to get it applied to your purchases.

With the parking lots of our Home Depot’s packed since April, smart move to try and capture that business.
