[Dead] Free $20 in Lyft Credit toward Two Rides this Week [NY, IL, FL, CO, MA, PA, DC, MO, GA, TX]

Neither code works anymore unfortunately.

The Offer

Beginning Thursday, Sept. 21, through the end of the year, Budweiser is providing up to 10,000 round-trip rides every weekend across nine states: New York, Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Texas, Georgia; plus Washington, D.C.

Budweiser will share a unique ride code on its Facebook and Instagram channels each Thursday at 2 p.m. ET, which new and existing Lyft users over the age of 21 can use to claim a $20 ride credit (two $10 one-way rides) through the Lyft app. The credits can be redeemed for rides taken between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time that Thursday, Friday or Saturday night.

  • Use promo code: MYBUDRIDE or YOURBUDRIDE to get the $20 credit for this week (you can enter both codes and get $40 total: one is for some states and one is for others)

This week they extended the available use of the promo code for a few more nights due to Halloween.

Promo codes are applied in the Promos tab (top-left corner in app).

The Fine Print

  • Valid October 26 at 5 pm until November 1 at 5 am
  • Limited time only and while supplies last
  • Discount does not apply to tips and any tips are the responsibility of the Lyft user
  • Must be 21
  • Pickup OR drop-off must be within coverage area

Our Verdict

These go fast. Save it as soon as you can, and it’ll be there for you to use this weekend.

There were previously leaked codes for the future which worked, but then Lyft clawed them back. Going forward, you’ll have to catch these codes each weekend before they get used up.

Why? That was just because we found promo codes in advance last time

Call me crazy, but here’s my theory why they released two codes this week. They released the YOURBUDRIDE code first so their markets where codes are being used up the most (IL, TX, DC, NY) would have the codes claimed up from people out of market who can’t use them. This is going to be a big drinking weekend so it lowers the total number of people using codes and saves them $$.

Seems like they messed up the YOURBUDRIDE coverage area and tried to fix it with MYBUDRIDE. For those in the few states where both show coverage, you hit the jackpot.

YOURBUDRIDE is dead.

It seems limited to different states than before. Illinois doesn’t appear to be one of them

I looked at my coverage area and it doesn’t seem to include PA. I guess check the coverage map but this doesn’t really help me.

Believe it should be YOURBUDRIDE rather than YOURBUDERIDE.

YOURBUDRIDE (not with that extra E in the middle) just worked for me, and showed as good for this weekend (26th-1st). However, the coverage area does not show anywhere in GA being eligible. It shows the entire states of TX, IL, NY, and D.C. but nowhere else. Not sure if the coverage map shows the same for everyone or if there’s other factors at play here.

Addendum:

MYBUDRIDE shows coverage area for CO, MI, GA, FL, PA, and MA.

YOURBUDRIDE shows coverage area for TX, IL, NY, and D.C.

It allowed me to add both promos to my account, both good for 26th-1st.

YOURBUDERIDE (with the extra E) said not valid for me.

YOURBUDRIDE – NY DC IL TX
MYBUDRIDE – MA PA FL GA MO CO
YOURBUDERIDE is invalid code

I’m in Florida, so I think it differs by state no. I added both YOURBUDRIDE and MYBUDRIDE and now have both in my account. (MYBUDRIDE shows the coverage areas of CO, MO, FL, GA, PA, and MA)
