The Fine Print
- The new personal checking account bonus offer is not available to existing American Pride Bank personal checking customers, to those whose personal checking accounts have closed for any reason after January 1st, 2019, or to any customer whose account with American Pride Bank closed with a negative balance.
- Only one personal checking account may be eligible for the new account bonus per social security number.

The account must remain open for the entire six (6) month period. 2. The account must receive at least five (5) Direct Deposits before the six (6) month anniversary date.

Monthly Fees
There are no monthly fees to worry about
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a full fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not. According to this comment it’s $10 if closed within 90 days.
Our Verdict
Not a bad bonus if you can easily change your direct deposit, not sure I’d be wanting to bother with this one if that wasn’t possible as the direct deposit is needed for such a long time to get the full bonus. The 3% APY account might also be worth keeping long term considering it only really needs an ACH transfer and eStatements to keep that rate (update: requires 12 debit card transactions as well, making it less useful). I’ll still add it to the best checking bonuses, just keep in mind that direct deposit requirement.
