Beware that the point of sales will encourage you to join their new perks program which is a significant devaluation if you were maximizing the fuelperks. Previously 50 points were redeemable for 10 cents off per gallon (up to 30 gallons) or essentially $3. The new program is a flat $1 off for each 50 points.

Agreed. They are pushing this hard. I think it only makes sense for people who may be driving electric cars or mopeds. And, even then, I am not so sure.

I have accidentally switched to the new perks program. It seems it’s not reversible.

yep! All you have to do is hit the wrong button at checkout and you have made the switch. I had to stop and think before I pushed anything. I’ve made mistakes like that before. I feel for ya.

Says “first time.” Anybody have success doing it this go-round after having utilized the offer when they had it previously? (Both PP and V).

Did it work buying gift cards?

Yes. I buy $40 GE gift cards which I can later use on grocery and gas at my choosing. Easiest thing to do for me.

In Venmo app, click on the 2nd tab at the bottom of the screen showing a V card. You will find it in the Debit Card > Explore offers > Featured QR Offers. PayPal app shows an advert in the front loading page along with the CVS and any other QR offers.

New paypal/venmo terms state the offer runs through Dec 31, 2038. For Venmo, an invite is required; for paypal just having a paypal account is the requirement.

Where are you seeing the terms for this? A friend just tried using PayPal this evening and said nothing triggered. I was using PayPal this morning and got the offer to work without issue.

Outstanding deal. I live in GE’s market area, and it’s sometimes difficult to find someone who knows how to work the QR reader.

If you hit finish and pay, there’s an option for QR code payment. Select that and scan your phone QR with scanner gun.
