Our Verdict

Previous best offer was 125,000 points + $50 statement credit without the annual fee waived. This is 25,000 less points, but you save $95 on the annual fee. This is a better offer if you value Hilton points at 0.38¢ each or less. Otherwise the old offer (not currently available) would be better. I do think we will see that offer back, so hold off if you value Hilton points highly. The added benefit of this card is the spend requirement is $2,000 less as well. What offer you prefer is really just personal preference and will depend on what your travel goals are.

There was issue where Amex was actually issuing person one while doing this trick for old offer. Here is reddit thread about it.

That’s been fixed for a while.

Small note for valuation, AF on this card is $95, not $99, so you would be looking at less than .38cpp in your calculation.

We have the glitch where people get you the personal card when you apply for the business card. Do you know if thats fixed doc?

I’m also getting the weak personal offer every time i try to do this…any tips on getting the business offer to show up?

When do a dummy booking, there should be 2 tabs on the offer page. The right tab is where you see business offer.

Applied for the personal instead of the business. Was told I am not eligible for the welcome offer due to my history and was given option to cancel the application before the credit check. Currently have 4 Amex cards (ED, BCE, BCP ,blue business).

Thanks William Charles Perfect timing !
I was looking for Priority Pass access for the family which is traveling in 10 days.
Approved instantaneously but not sure if I’ll receive Priority Pass Select card in time though.

Wow. I did 100k for $4000 and no AF waived a couple of months ago.

Already earned the bonus. Will amex throw a bone post facto?

Instant Approved. Lost count of how many cards i’ve had. Lots of open/closures too.

Amex keeps on giving!

seems dead now? error message and sad face

The first Apply Now button doesn’t work but the one in the botoom works. funny.

I just applied and was immediately approved. I’m 8/24 but only have 1 amex card currently.

Just a Note

Worth noting that I went to get my account number instantly and it didn’t work. Said I will get a $110 statement credit, presumably because it didn’t work. If that’s the case, I’m going to have to try that every time in the future… unfortunately I forgot to take a screen capture before closing the window, so crossing my fingers that I will actually get it.

You are lucky that they even offered you $110 statement credit.
I didn’t get the instant account number either and neither the offer of any statement credit.

I got 50 dollars once for the delta card. So I think you will get it

where did you find the offer at?

I have an old hilton amex card (applied in 2012) and ED card from June 2018, got the msg that I would not be qualified to get the bonus. Switched to hubby’s account and he was approved instantly. Not sure if its because of my current Hilton card, or the ED card from <3 months ago. Just a DP

Hmmm, same DP here, have a personal Hilton card opened 2013, never had business version, yet got the “not qualified” bonus message. Is this indication that now holding a personal card disqualifies you from business bonus 🙁

Nope. SO and I both held previous Amex Hilton cards (Surpass and the free version.) Closed both within the last 2-3 years. We both applied today for the business card and were approved. We did NOT get the pop-up window.

Have tried 3 different dummy bookings and all three times it’s brought up the Honors 50K with $50 statement credit.

That’s because it defaults to the personal card. You need to click on the ‘Business’ tab.

Duh. Thanks Richard, that worked!
