The Fine Print

  • This promotion is valid only for World of Hyatt members who register for the promotion between July 8 and September 1, 2020. Only points redeemed between July 8 and October 8, 2020 (“Promotion Period”) will be eligible for this promotion.

Our Verdict

This is a somewhat frequent promotion, last year it was only on select properties whereas this is on all properties (it was also possible to stack that with a Chase cardholder deal for a total of 35% back in points). Points don’t go back into your account until after the stay is completed.

If you’ve already booked a stay during the promotional period as long as you’ve registered for this promotion and it’s during the promotion period you’ll get the rebate (no need to rebook). The free parking can be very useful as well as parking can be exceptionally expensive in some cities and I imagine more people are traveling by car than normal as well.

Has anyone registered for this promotion as a non-WoH credit card holder, then gotten the credit card and successfully received 25% back on award stays?

I’m new to hotel award stays. Is free parking usually not included?

Does anyone know if free parking is provided if you use a free night certificate, instead of using points? And what if you have two cars?

Do award bookings for others (e.g. Guest of Honor) earn the 15-25% rebate, to either accounts?

Just adding the comment that registration is also extended through Dec 1st. When reading this write up I thought it wouldn’t be good for me because I didn’t register before Sept 1st. Clicked the link anyway and see that I can do it.

Nice surprise the point rebate was extended. I had made a point award reservation for a suite this month knowing the point rebate promo had expired at the time. Certainly will welcome the extra points back to my account.

tried to do this in Hyatt Regency Chicago last weekend, but the front desk refused to give us free parking because parking is limited.. however, im more than welcome to pay for it. that is B.S. I escalated to the WoH, but they said the free parking is only for Hyatt owned parking. another B.S. because i stayed at Hyatt Place Chicago, which used the shared parking deck 2 blocks away, and i got free parking there.

Is anyone else getting the message that you’re ineligible?

Hmm just stayed at 15k property x2 nights. The day after I’m seeing 2500 point. Need to double check what’s going on.

I think that’s just the bonus for your stay. I just finished a stay on 9/3 and saw the 2500 points the day after. I then got the 25% point rebate on 9/8.
