I have a question about the Explorist status in this promo: does the Explorist achieved this way (15 nights) still get the 4 Lounge Access as before?

If we earn Globalist status in 2021? How long will we have status till? Will it be till Feb 28 2023?

So if you have the world of Hyatt card that gives 5 qualifying nights.

You only need 13 nights to get a total of 31 and globalist?

In order to do this above do all 13 nights need to be in 2021? Or can like 10 of them be in 2020 and then 3 of them be in 2021?

Example if I stay in a hotel from 12/21-1/3 which is 13 nights but 1 stay I would get 26 nights?

Can someone help me clarify what happens to the 2020 nights? I currently have 18 qualifying nights and 3 more nights this month as I will be overseas. How many of these will count towards 2021? I presume 3 nights?

It’s only nights in Q4 promotion that will rollover. Also, nights through Feb 28 will get double credit.

I’m confused as to when is the best time to spend the 50k on the WoH card if you already have the card

so are all elite night credits earned in 2020 going to be rolled over to 2021 (and qualify for the status requirements)? Say I currently have 16 elite nights, earned at different periods of 2020, and have the WOH card (so will receive 5 more elite nights when 2021 comes), will I have a total of 21 elite nights by then? Thanks!

Wondering the same thing. New card member as of March 2020 with 10 qualifying nights. In 2021, do I only need to book 5 qualifying nights to reach Explorist? When do my qualifying nights from 2020 expire?

I’m pretty sure the double elite night thing is only for stays durning the current promo period, so any nights earned in 2020 prior to you enrolling in the current promo would not count towards 2021.

thanks, and by “current promo” you mean the one occurring in Q4 of 2020 right?

This sure beats MSing globalist. Kiss those checkin upgrades goodbye now that everyone will pretty much be globalist. Still plan to hit 60 nights for all the tier perks.

You’re probably right, but I care much more about the waived resort fees, free parking, free breakfast/club access than standard suite upgrades. The difference in benefits for explorist vs. Globalist is still night and day.

I think you overestimate the number of Globalists. Especially since most of the “old Globalists” aren’t travelling now (it was very hard to be a non-business-travel Globalist under the old rules). A lot of the new Globalists will be leisure travellers and gamers, but probably won’t be travelling as much as the old Globalists. Perhaps harder to get upgrades at Resorts. But weren’t those always hard?

One Mile at a Time reported that World of Hyatt cardholders get 10 elite night credits for 2021 (double the usual 5 elite night credits) and Hyatt is offering 2x elite night credits for stays between 1/1/2021 and 2/28/2021.

Crazy that World of Hyatt cardholders can get Hyatt Globalists with 10 nights of stays in early 2021 by stacking all of these promotions.

This still seems unclear to me. Is the 10 elite night credits only for people who applied for a card this year, or will it be added for existing cardholders? I opened my card in 2019. Does that mean I’ll only receive 5 elite nights next year?

The double elite night credits for just having the card (10 nights instead of 5) appears to be a limited-time offer for new applicants this December, not a benefit for current cardholders.

Confirmed – DM’ed Chase and they won’t honor this promotion with applications prior to 10/16

welp i’ll definitely hit Globalist next year now.
tbh this is almost too easy.
could folks technically have secured Globalist for next year already if they’re already a WOH cardholder and had 25 stays in Q42020 with the “double elite nights” promo Hyatt recently ran that earns elite nights for this calendar year and next?
