Anyone that has closed this account – what methods are available other than in branch? No data points in Complete List Of Ways To Close Bank Accounts At Each Bank

I believe they might be CHEX sensitive. I do not have anything negative on CHEX report. I do have about 10 inquiries in the past 3 months. I am within the 25mile foot print.

No bonus as of today. I’m in IL and nearest branch is 48mi. I think they enforce the 25mi requirement.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the old offer (signup around Oct 2020) to see if they stipulate the customer has to live within 25 miles of a banking center? Wonder if that verbiage was added into the newest iteration of this offer.

Signed up in October, thinking ACHs and trial deposits would count, like others. No bonus by December and contacted the bank. A very nice CSR followed up multiple times and reported that my transfers did not count. After learning here that billpays did not work, made 3 debit card payments. Bonus received a few days later. The nice CSR even notified me by email.

No bonus after second try with another two bill pays within the same statement cycle as told by rep in the first call of why not getting bonus at first. This is consistent with my first issue and like others reported issues that this bank has a lot of excuses of not paying bonus. Another 4 more months and will goodbye forever and add this bank to blacklist.

This bank has given me so much problems.
Like ACH opening fund didn’t go through, charging me even though I signed up for eStatement, etc.
Originally I did 3 online bill pay but no bonus, called and was told no bonus if the bill pay is to another financial institution. So I did direct deposit $501, still no bonus when I get my monthly statement this month. Called them again. Now they are telling me because I don’t live within 25 miles from their branch so I can’t get bonus.
It’s so much hassle for $100. And now I’m stuck with them for another 4 month without paying $25 fee.
