Our Verdict

These are basically the same offers they offered earlier this year. The gold offers are not worth considering as we frequently see higher bonuses on those cards. The offers on the Reserve & Platinum are worth considering as they are as high as we’ve seen on those cards. It’s also worth remembering if you get the cards now you’ll get the lower annual fee before it increases in January (on card renewal you’d pay the new higher annual fee if you keep the card though).

I suspect all of these offers will contain the lifetime language as normal. You can check for offers without that language by clicking here. If you have any questions about American Express cards, read this post before asking them.

Has anyone recently bought a $50 Delta eGC on the Delta website and then received the $50 Statement Credit?

If yes, how long did it take from the moment you bought the eGC until the $50 Statement Credit was issued?

Thanks!

I have an NLL on the Gold Biz. I’m guessing the referrals don’t have NLL language so I can’t qualify for referral offer since I’ve had the Gold Biz before?

I signed up for the platinum 2 weeks ago, still working on minimum spend. If I contact them will they increase the bonus? Not sure how amex is with this

I’m looking to pick up one of the Delta cards, but i don’t see why it’s worth paying a $195 annual fee just to get a few more miles when the Gold card is free.

Gold is good for people who just want the basic necessities like priority boarding and checked bags. Platinum is for potential status chasers and also the companion fare.

Amex is getting tight with their bonuses. Tried applying for platinum but said I wouldn’t get bonus. Here is my recent history with Amex.

Amex Platinum Auth User 2019
Amex Gold Business 2015 Canceled
Amex Platinum Business 2015 Canceled
Amex Delta Gold 2016 Canceled

Could Amex be counting my spouses applications too?

Amex Delta Gold SkyMiles 2018
Amex Platinum 2016
Amex SPG 2015 Canceled
Amex Delta SkyMiles 2014 Canceled
Amex SPG Business 2016 Canceled

Any thoughts?

I think it was in their new language this year about how many cards you have opened and closed… it may be the time frame that you have kept them?
