Issue With Barclays Aviator Business Cards Being Issued

Recently there have been some issues with the newly approved Barclays Aviator Business card. The automated system that creates the physical cards has not worked correctly and Barclays is having to manually request the card creation. This is leading to card delays, apparently there is no need to call Barclays if you’re affected by this issue but if it’s been more than ten days since you were approved and haven’t received a card I’d recommend contacting Barclays to confirm a request for card creation has been made. Barclays representatives are stating that the minimum spend period will be extended due to this delay.

I just got an email from Barclays saying my AAdvantage Aviator Business Mastercard has been “upgraded” to AAdvantage® Aviator® World Elite Business Mastercard®.

Just called, today is the 10th business day since I was approved and the lady said my address “had to be verified”. She said there must have been a glitch in the system since it didn’t verify the address automatically. I think that is just what they are saying happened when their system messed up. She did overnight my card for free though which is nice.

Was approved today for the Barclays Aviator Business at reconsideration upon moving some of the available credit of existing Barclays accounts. Now I wonder how quickly the Barclays Aviator Business card will be in the mail – the lady said 7 to 10 business days on the phone, so in the latest should be arrive within 2 weeks I guess? Any update from anyone about the delays of the new Barclays Aviator Business cards being shipped out?

Great. I’ve been waiting for this card for close to 3 weeks. I actually called yesterday for the second time to find out why I hadn’t received my card yet, and the rep told me that it was because my address hadn’t been verified by the previous rep I talked to. Really? Then, they offered to overnight my card at no charge. Of course, since I called on a Friday, I’ll be getting my card on Tuesday hopefully. Sounds like a pretty long night.
Not sure if I was being BSed or if that was a legitimate reason, but after reading this post, I’m more inclined to believe the former.

William Charles @chuck Recently I noticed the website doesn’t have any new articles for a day or two, then a bunch of them show up at once. Like today morning US time there was nothing since June 4th. Now there are 2 pages worth of articles.

Are you on mobile? The site doesn’t always refresh correctly and you need to click into the URL and click ‘Go’. Refresh button isn’t sufficient.

I am having the same issue. Sometimes if I go into Incognito mode it helps, or opening on a different computer. It started happening with the refresh.

Didn’t think any new articles were posted today then later in the afternoon I manually refreshed Chrome “Shift + Command + R” (using a Mac) and todays news appeared.

I’m on Windows 10 Chrome, and I’ve gotten into the habit of holding down Shift while clicking the refresh circle-with-arrow to get the newest articles to come up. Sometimes they come up on their own, but often it only shows me that same articles as the last time I visited UNTIL) I do Shift plus refresh (which “forces” a refresh). I don’t know if the “force refresh” function on the Mac Chrome is the same, but whatever it is, you apparently need to do a “force refresh”, not just the normal refresh (which on Windows 10 Chrome is clicking the refresh circle-with-arrow without holding down Shift).

There are two kinds of refresh. Normal refresh and “forced” refresh. i find that normal refresh (clicking circle-with-arrow) isn’t sufficient, but “forced” refresh (on Windows, holding down Shift while clicking the refresh button) works every time.

Yeah I had the same issue. When I used the computer, kept refreshing the page and saw nothing new since June 4! Then I used private mode, I saw updates articles. But if I used the phone, I saw updated articles! Very weird!

I have also been experiencing caching issues the last few days. Need to do a force refresh (shift+F5), that usually works. But yes, it’s aggravating.
