The standard deal at Kroger is 2x fuel points on gift card purchases, and they’ll occasionally release offers like this one to get 4x fuel points. Login to your online account to find the coupon at your local store and load it to your card.
All third-party gift cards seem to be included in this offer, but not Kroger gift cards. Should work on fixed-denomination prepaid Visa/MC/Amex gift cards too.
Our Verdict
You can get double fuel points on weekends this summer on non-gift card purchases too (ends this weekend); do your shopping on the weekend and get both deals at once.
Usually, every 1000 fuel points will get you a discount of $1 per gallon with a 35-gallon limit, a max value of $35 per 1000-points. (These details do vary by store and region.) If you buy $250 in gift cards and max out the 35-gallons, it’ll end up a 14% discount on the gift cards.
You can also get free cell phone service with Kroger when you earn fuel rewards points.

In my local Kroger this deal is only available on 25, 50 & 100$ gift cards. This is specifically mentioned on the gift cards rack. Looks like a bummer deal.
Same data point here. Bought a 500, 300, and 350 vgc today and only got the 2x on gas since they were all over 100 bucks. By the way, Kroger money orders are easy,quick, and cheap (69 cents with the loyalty program. All King Soopers have a US Bank atm that accepts money orders and deposits them instantly into your account.
1) Buy vgc (pin enabled) at a Kroger store that gets good cashback on groceries
2) Buy money order at King soopers the next day or at another soopers store
3)Deposit MO into your account via the US Bank atm in a soopers store.
Kapni, are you referring to Visa gift cards? As noted in the post, fuel points are not earned on variable-load Visa gift cards.
Ralphs, which is the Kroger company in Southern California, has a fuel program that works a bit differently (20c off on one fillup per 200 points earned in a month). But the promotions are usually at the same time and of the same sort, except at Relphs it’s get 40c on your next fillup (PLUS earn 200 points) with $100 in gfit card purchases. But this time, there’s no digital coupon requirement at Ralphs like there appear to be at Kroger.
Does Marianos come under Kroger family of stores? these are not showing up in the kroger app.
