Goldman Sachs has announced plans to launch a new digital personal checking product through their consumer arm Marcus. Marcus already has a savings product (currently offering a sign up bonus) and the new Apple card is also powered by Marcus as well. Later this year Goldman Sachs wants to launch an invest/wealth product as well.

It looks like this won’t happen. I actually prefer their savings account with unlimited withdrawals, and okay interest.
Chuck William Charles it looks like Marcus has launched a robo-advisor https://www.marcus.com/us/en/invest
Interesting, wonder if they will offer a bonus
Great! Finally some competition. Marcus system is kind of garbage in the way that if you pull funds from it, they deduct interest from you based on the day you pulled (while your other bank won’t pay you till the funds arrive) but always good to have more competition with Ally which itself has been going downhill on customer service.
Does their website for desktop have all the functionality that all the smartphone stuff does?
I’d be interested in a checking account with a full range of banking features, like Ally, but maybe better interest.
I’ve been using rewards checking lately, but the terms keep changing and I’m sick of dealing with rinky-dink little banks/CUs that lack proper range of banking capabilities.
Stay away from these crooks. Will never hire or give my money to anyone from Goldman Sucks.
Just need them to take over U.S. Bank
I don’t know. They really lowered their interest rate on their savings. Wait ‘n see.
Everyone lowered their savings rate. Its almost like there is some central rate they base their rates off of :-/
The best is when you altruistically refer a friend who is not wise to online savings account yields and then they complain to YOU about the rate cut. Like I told them to lower your yield
Does having a Marcus savings account qualify someone for the Goldman Sachs Amex platinum?
No
Nvm, saw that the IOS app is already available and android is supposedly coming soon
i look forward to the money they will pay me to sign up for it
Me Too!
Lol, ditto!
Yeah same here. I hope they wait a month so I can finish my Wells Fargo $400 bonus requirement before “switching” to them
