Just tried to activate an unactivated card by calling the numberon the back (855-202-5628 and I couldn’t find an option for activation. Anyone else having this issue? Can’t register online either.
There was no user selectable option, when you enter the card number the system should recognize the card is unactivated and do the initial load. Hopefully its not an issue of waiting too long and the Meijer load is no longer valid.
My 10 cards arrived with a “your card is active” sticker on each, and the website for checking balance gave unhelpful error messages, so it took me extra long to figure out that I even need to activate them. What an odd experience.
After the initial two, I started activating two cards at a time using two phones – I’d be keying in numbers on one while waiting for the system to react on the other. Still a silly experience but if I were to do it again I think I can activate all 10 cards in 12 minutes…
More headache. I tried to offload the balance on Gift of College website. Yup I know the 5% fee is borderline ridiculous but figured it’s the easiest way to drain the balance. Kept getting errors over and over. It worked on Amazon but I don’t want to maintain a $1k balance on Amazon. Such an inconvenient VISA gift card!
Same happened to me, the giftcardmall website didn’t recognize these cards. I had to activate and check balance over ph too.I pressed # after entering numbers, that seemed to speed up.
However, they worked on other websites.

NVM, I found it. It’s really annoying to activate it via phone one by one.
Just got my 10 cards in USPS envelope with UPS label Blackhawk Network from Las Vegas (no tracking was provided to me). 10 cards were in their individual white envelope with 5 in a bundle. Activation took around 2 minutes per card (record being 1:56). The only prompts that took a long pause is after entering card number and after entering CVV. Afterward, register on website and was able to pay online w/o issue.
2 minutes to redeem a card. I can’t even use it normally like a regular visa…
Same experience – took 5 min to activate one card. I regret buying 10 cards…
This whole experience has been odd. When I check the tracking, it states it hasn’t shipped yet, but I received it on 09/15. Cards say not active and go online to activate, but that gives me an error. I was able to call and activate it, but apparently this has to be done one at a time. Even worse I used my BoA Cash Rewards and it coded as online purchase but no bonus. Not sure this was worthwhile.
Update: After activating one and using it on bills, I received an email stating “we noticed some irregular activity and out of an abundance of caution have reissued you a new virtual prepaid card.” Did others receive this too? This whole saga gets weirder and weirder…
I just activated one (took 2 minutes via phone) and used it online without issue.
The activation process is so annoying, simply not worth the effort. Won’t do this again.

That was a very confusing experience. I never ever received a tracking number, but the piece of mail did come from ARROWEYE SOLUTIONS, INC. When I opened it, it’s in an envelope and it has the card with a sticker saying “YOUR CARD IS ACTIVE”. But it’s not. I called the number, and it notifies me that “Reporting your card lost or stolen will freeze your card and you won’t be able to use it. To continue, press 1. To enter your card number, press 2.” That should be more clear direction that, by pressing 2, you would be entering your card number in order to activate it (which you have to do, because it’s not currently active). Again, very confusing experience.
Received all 10 cards in the mail today. They say they’re already active but I’ve had to call to activate each one. Is this normal?
Not sure if it’s normal but I had to call in an activate each of my cards as well. Just recv’d them in the mail today…
I got mine today and those cards CAN NOT be used. I think I will call customer service to figure out. What a hassle
Did you call the number on the card? I couldn’t register them on the website until I called and activated them…this also triggered the initial fund load on the card. Its like the purchase process was only half completed.
Seems like I have to activate each of them separately. Atleast activate the whole order together.
