Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

The free checking account has no monthly fees to worry about

Early Account Termination Fee

I wasn’t able to find mention of an early account termination fee in the fee schedule

Our Verdict

Update: Not worth doing for most people due to the hard pull

Need to know if it’s a hard or soft pull to open, if it’s a soft pull then it’s likely worth doing but at this stage we don’t have enough information to determine if it’s a good or bad deal. If anybody goes for this deal then please share your experiences in the comments below

Did your bonus post without any problems?

HP for a checking account?! They can go f themselves. My husband has had an account with them 20 years and I’m slowly steering him away. Contacting CS is a JOKE. We can’t say a single good about them. Plus their name sucks, was just fine as US Federal CU.

I’ll apply closer to 12/31, assuming the link doesn’t get pulled early.

Does anyone have any DPs on which credit cards are accepted for account funding? Is Amex an option?
