Our Verdict
Update: Not worth doing for most people due to the hard pull
Need to know if it’s a hard or soft pull to open, if it’s a soft pull then it’s likely worth doing but at this stage we don’t have enough information to determine if it’s a good or bad deal. If anybody goes for this deal then please share your experiences in the comments below

I opened my account on 11/16 and I completed the requirements last week. The $250 bonus posted 3 days after the 20th debit card purchase! I funded $1000 on my Altitude Reserve.
I did this bonus, P2 doing it now. Mine was easy. Funded Citi DC posted as purchase. Did 20 Amazon reloads and $300 reload to utility company. Two genuine payroll deposits of $1k each. It was a hard pull on Equifax but those are the least of my concerns.
Thanks for the DP
Applied online with EQ unfrozen. Got a response saying I needed to unfreeze EX as well (so that’s two hard inquiries). The cherry on top was that my us bank biz leverage card was blocked to fund the account. Ouch. Would not recommend.
data points:
Hard pull for EQ and EX. No CC funding for biz leverage, but was able to fund with barclay cashforward $1k as a purchase. 20 x venmo transfers + 2 x $500 real DDs. Opened end of August and $250 bonus posted first week of October.
What bureau do they pull?
Pulled Equifax for me.
It’s back until the end of the year

Offer valid for new Firefly members from 4/28/2020 – 12/31/2020 with no prior checking relationship in the last 12 months
any DP if Venmo transactions work for the bonus? I did 20 Venmo transactions – no indication whether they have worked (bonus will post within 90 days and requirements to be satisfied in 60).
Yes, it did…
What did you do for DD?
Does anyone have any DPs on which credit cards are accepted for account funding? Is Amex an option?
Its probably gonna be visa / mastercard as per usual.
Where does it say its limited to MN residents?
Qualify For Membership
If you or an immediate family member lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, or Washington Counties of MN – you qualify.
I believe I found this when I clicked open a new account. It will say who is qualified.
I’ll apply closer to 12/31, assuming the link doesn’t get pulled early.
