• Selco Community Credit Union is offering a bonus of $100 + a $100 donation to Lift Urban Portland when you complete one of the following requirements:
  • Use bill pay to pay 3 different payees for 3 consecutive months OR
  • Receive a direct deposit of $100+

The Fine Print

• Membership and credit qualifications apply. Only one participating transaction per member.
• Must be 18 or older.
• For qualifying new checking accounts, $100 gift will be deposited into the account on the next business day after the first direct deposit of at least $100 USD or after using Bill Pay to pay 3 different payees for 3 consecutive months (Bill Pay transactions must be complete within 180 days of the last day of the promotion.
• Participating charity partner will receive their donation within 180 days from promotion month-end.

• All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Our Verdict

Unfortunately the hard pull kills the deal. Not really worth considering a $100 bonus that is taxed when it does a hard pull. Because of that we won’t be adding it to the best checking account bonuses.
