Our Verdict
Card typically has come with $100 signup bonus (though there’s no public link for that right now). Currently, it’s showing within the Paypal login as $150 for some people or possibly everyone. Small spend requirement could make this a quick and easy cash bonus that some will find worthwhile. The card is interesting to a lot of people for long term use as well. We’ll add this to our list of Best Credit Card Signup Bonuses.

Reviving a old post in-case anyone else may be targeted (this offer doesn’t seem to have shown up for a quite a while), but I just got this $150 after $500 spend offer on my email under the subject “Confirmed – First Name Last Name! You have very good chances of approval for the PayPal Cashback Mastercard®”. They pulled Transunion and I was approved for a $12k limit instantly today with instant card number in my Paypal account. They even have a spend tracker to see how much spend one needs left to meet the bonus requirement.

Signed up in early Oct. Hit the $500 spend in the middle of my second statement period. Already have my third statement and still haven’t received the bonus.
I received my $150 on my second statement cut date. It was in my cashback balance and I transferred it to PayPal balance then to bank.
I completed the full $500 spend after my first statement. Signed up early Sept.
This still going on? I don’t see it on the PayPal page.

Do you have a business account? I have a PayPal business account and all I’m seeing is an offer for the PayPal Business card which has no sign up bonus.

wtf. $150 offer showed up online. i started application then i was logged out by paypal. i tried to log back in and apply and offer now shows $100. talk about bait and switch.

LOL yes that’ll definitely ensure u get the bonus 100%…just so people know I only spoke to 1 rep info is based off of what she told me this is no way a guarantee it’ll work … I myself did not see the bonus when applying but I will update after the 1st statement to see if the rep was telling the truth
I did apply, was approved, but no where on the letter accompanying my card does it mention the $150 back if I spend $500 within 90 days. I am very leery. I guess it’s too soon for anyone to have accepted the offer, spent the $500 gotten the $150 back… Nervous
i spent the 500 asked about my 150.. one rep said no such promtion another said yes i have it not sure who is telling the truth

I think I got the $150 bonus on the day of 1st statement. It was mentioned in the statement itself. That was a quick bonus for me since the statement got generated within couple of days after I opened the account and made the $500 txn the same day since the virtual card was picked during my txn.
Does this card earn 3% if used with Paypal bill pay. Can’t get a straight answer.

Yes I believe so I didn’t see the bonus on my screen but I called in to ask about it and they said its their current promotion for new card holders . I already put 500 spend on the card I opened last week so I plan to call after the first statement cuts if I don’t see the bonus appear
I called and was told that my account showed that I had gotten my card from the targeted email… but somebody from goodness knows where say something with no ability to have written confirmation is worrisome to me

Had to login to my paypal account to check for the notification. Never got the email but notification on paypal website said to wait for notice in the mail to see what the decline reason was.

It says you get the 3% cash back for doing that, so It seems likely, but I am not certain because have not seen it spelled out clearly anywhere.
I did $500. Fee is less than the reward…. But did not get the extra $150 yet…
Got the $150 bonus in my paypal account. Applied and approved instantly for $1500 CL. Wow! Just a low CL. Planning to use this card for paying my taxes. Unfreeze just TU and that’s the only bureau got pulled.

I dunno. I don’t think so. The bonus and rebates are coming from Synchrony Bank not Paypal. And the bonus, that’s a gray area but the rebates, at least, are not taxable. I’ve never gotten a 1099 on a credit card bonus. The question I have is when you get this Paypal Mastercard, do they share your Soc. Sec. number with Paypal. In other words, I use Paypal with credit cards only, and Paypal does not have my Soc. Sec. number. If I apply for this card, does Synchrony share this info with Paypal, such that Paypal will now have this number? Yes, this $150 offer shows up in my Paypal account via desktop (good till October 10) which I rarely use, and I’m on the fence about it.

The card is added to your PayPal account and will only show last 4 digits. So you can use it anywhere PayPal is accepted.

Haven’t logged into my PayPal account for a while but happened to log in and noticed a series of random discounts added to my account. One was a $20 discount towards any PayPal purchase and then a few for $5 off $10 for specific merchants. I’m considering it myself. My 2% card is Fidelity, which has that dreaded $25 minimum to cash out.
They requested a name+DOB verification and a SSN verification.
Had to submit documents like drivers license/passport and w2/ssn card.
Felt it was kind of invasive.

It showed for me, but Paypal has been giving me a ton of payment issues, so I don’t recommend applying.
