We posted last month about an offer from Paypal to get a chance at a Mystery Reward between $10-$100 for spending $150 on Paypal in August. The odds of winning a rewards were high – around 55% – although the best odds were for the $10 rewards and a much smaller chance for the higher rewards.
Yesterday, lots of people got notification from Paypal about their rewards. Most of us who won got the $10 rewards (myself included) and a few lucky ones got higher amounts.
As noted in the email, the mystery reward comes off automatically at the time of purchase. I just purchased some Sephora gift cards on eBay to take advantage of the sale and the 8% Bucks (and the 5% portal); the $10 came off automatically. I’m not sure if it was reflected in the checkout screen or not, but it’s definitely showing now in my Paypal account and on my credit card that $10 was deducted from the purchase price.
When paying with eBay gift cards, you may need to leave over a $10 balance which is not covered by the gift cards in order for the promo offer to apply on the purchase.
If you did get the promo, be sure to make an eBay purchase before 10/7/15 in order to take advantage of this.
