Me as well… so frustrating! I messaged PayPal customer service…. I think the system is trying to pull from $0 PayPal balance for PayPal Digital Gifts even though my preferred method is set to my Discover card. My card isn’t showing any attempt at a charge from PayPal. PayPal’s UI and customer service sure are a mess.

… and I got an unhelpful automated reply with tips to check what I’ve already checked. That was pointless.
